한국어 교사의 문법 교수 역량에 대한 중요도-실행도 분석 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 교사가 문법 교수 역량에 대하여 인식하는 중요도와 실행도를 분석하고 IPA 기법을 활용하여 교사 재교육에서 고려해야 할 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 한국어 교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 136명의 응답을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 교사들은 전반적으로 문법 교수 역량에 대해 중요하게 인식하고 있으며 실제 본인의 실행 수준은 중요도에 비해 낮게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 문법 교수 역량의 10개 하위 요인, 40개의 지표는 IPA 결과를 바탕으로 네 개의 범주 ‘유지 영역’, ‘중점 영역’, ‘낮은 순위 영역’, ‘과잉 영역’으로 구분되었다. 특히 교사 재교육 시 중점 강화가 필요하다고 판단되는 ‘중점 영역’에는 ‘문법 교육 내용 지식, ‘수업 설계 및 개발’, 그리고 ‘상호작용 촉진’ 중 4개의 지표가 위치하였다. 그 외 ‘유지 영역’과 ‘낮은 순위 영역’에 가장 많은 지표가 포함되었는데, 교사들이 중요도를 낮게 인식한 역량 중에는 ‘성찰과 자기 계발’과 같이 미래 교육의 역량으로서 중요한 것들도 포함되어 있다. 이러한 역량에 대해서는 교사의 중요도 인식을 제고하는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze Korean teachers' perceived importance and performance of grammar teaching competencies and to suggest directions that should be considered in future teacher retraining using IPA techniques. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among Korean teachers at home and abroad, and 136 responses were analyzed. The results of Korean teachers' perceptions of the importance and performance of grammar teaching competencies are as follows. Overall, teachers perceived grammar teaching competencies as important and their actual level of practice was low compared to their perceived importance. The 10 sub-factors of grammar teaching competencies, 40 indicators, were divided into four categories based on IPA results: keep up the good work, concentrate here, low priority, and possible overkill. In particular, four indicators were placed in the concentrate here category that were deemed to need to be emphasized in teacher retraining: “grammar teaching content knowledge”, “lesson design and development”, and “facilitating interaction”. The most indicators were included in the keep up the good work and low priority categories, and some of the competencies that teachers perceived as less important include those that are important as future education competencies, such as “reflection and self-development”. It is necessary to raise teachers' awareness of the importance of these competencies.
