특수학교 교사의 자율장학 수행 및 역할인식 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 특수학교 교사의 사회인구학적 특성에 따라 자율장학과 역할인식에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고 자율장학과 역할인식과의 관계를 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울, 부산, 대구, 충남, 충북, 경북, 전남 지역의 국공립 및 사립 특수학교 교사를 대상으로 무선 표집하여 선정한 다음 질문지법을 사용하였으며 예비조사를 실시한 다음 본 조사를 실시하였다. 이에 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수학교 교사의 자율장학 수행은 국공립 특수학교 교사가 사립 특수학교 교사보다 더 높으며 학력별로는 대학원 재학 이상의 특수학교 교사들이 대졸 특수학교 교사보다 자기장학의 수행에서 높다. 그리고 교직경력이 11년 이상의 교사가 교직경력이 1-5년, 6-10년의 교사보다 유형공통, 동료장학 및 자기장학의 수행에서 더 높다. 둘째, 특수학교 교사의 역할수행은 국공립 특수학교 교사가 사립 특수학교 교사보다 연구자 및 행정업무자의 역할인식이 높고 학력별로는 대학원 재학 이상의 교사가 대졸 교사보다 연구자의 역할인식이 높다. 또한, 교직경력이 11년 이상 교사가 1-5년의 경력 교사보다 관찰자로서의 역할인식이 더 높으며 지역적으로는 군면단위의 특수학교 교사가 대도시 및 중소도시 특수학교 교사보다 행정업무자의 역할인식이 높다. 셋째, 특수학교 교사의 자율장학과 역할인식의 하위변인 간에 긍정적 상관이 있다. 즉, 자율장학과 역할인식 간에는 모두 긍정적인 상관이 있어서 자율장학의 모든 유형을 잘 수행함으로써, 교사의 역할인식은 분명해 진다.

영문 초록

This study was designed to investigate the characteristics of special education teachers' autonomous supervision performance and their role cognizance. The relations between teachers' autonomous supervision performance and their role cognizance were also examined. Data of this study were collected from special school teachers. The questionnaires which were used in earlier studies were modified for the use of this study. After conducting a pilot survey and doing literature review, the questionnaire was modified. It was also amended after discussing with special school teachers. The subjects of this study were 112 teachers in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Chungnam Province, Chungbuk Province, Gyungbuk Province, and Chonnam Province. Data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, scheffe post-test, and Pearson`s correlation analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, although the levels of special education teachers' autonomous supervision performance were high in general, there were significant differences among institution, scholastic ability, and career. The accomplishment level of special education teachers in public special schools was higher than those in private schools. Moreover, the higher the teacher's career and scholastic ability, the higher their accomplishment level. Second, the levels of special education teachers' role cognizance were excellent. However, the levels of special education teachers' role cognizance in public special schools were higher than those in private special schools. In addition, the levels of special education teachers' role cognizance in countries was relatively higher than those in cities. Third, there were significant correlation between special education teachers' autonomous supervision performance and their role cognizance.
