장애학생의 학교급간 전환 관련 국내 연구동향 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애학생의 학교급간 전환 관련 국내 문헌을 고찰함으로써 유치원에서부터 고등학교 이후 전환을 아우르는 전체 학교급간 전환에 대한 연구동향을 파악하고, 이를 토대로 성공적인 학교급간 전환 및 지원을 위한 연구방향을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 학교급간 전환 관련 국내 문헌 41편을 학교급간, 발표연도, 연구대상, 연구주제, 연구방법에 따른 변인별로 분석하고 아울러 각 학교급간 전환을 위한 적응기술 유형 및 전환 지원 프로그램의 구성요소를 분석하였다. 그 결과 학교급간에 따른 분석에서는 중학교에서 고등학교로의 전환 관련 연구가 단 2편인데 반해 유치원에서 초등학교로의 전환 관련 연구는 24편으로 가장 많은 비중을 차지하였고, 연구주제와 연구방법에 따른 분석에서는 학교급간 전환 관련 실태 및 인식을 주제로 한 논문과 조사연구 논문이 각각 20편으로 나타나 특정 학교급간, 연구주제 및 방법에 연구들이 편중된 경향을 나타냈다. 학교급간 전환을 위한 적응기술에 따른 분석에서는 사회성 및 의사소통 기술이 학교급간에 상관없이 가장 중요한 적응기술로 나타났으며, 학교급간 전환 지원 프로그램 구성요소 분석결과 정보제공, 학교방문, 개별면담이 공통적인 구성요소로 도출되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 향후 학교급간 전환 및 지원 관련 연구를 위해 다음과 같은 제언이 제시되었다: 1) 중학교에서 고등학교로의 전환 관련 연구의 필요성, 2) 상급학교에서의 적응기술 관련 연구 활성화, 3) 학생과 가족 모두를 고려한 전환 지원 프로그램 개발.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine research trends on school transitions for students with disabilities including transition through kindergarten to after high school, and provide implications for further studies. For this study, 41 articles regarding school transitions for students with disabilities published in Korea were identified and analyzed across variables of school levels, years of publication, research subjects, research topics, and research methods along with types of adaptive skills needed in school transitions and components of school transition support programs. The results of analysis showed that the research trends on school transitions for students with disabilities were unbalanced across the variables of school levels, research topics, and research methods. In addition, the results indicated that the social and communication skills were common adaptive skills in school transitions regardless of school levels, and providing school information, visiting a school, and personal counseling were common components of school transition support programs. Based on the findings, the implications for further studies were provided as follows: (1) Necessity of research on middle-to-high school transition, (2) vitalization of research on adaptive skills needed in school transitions, and (3) development of school transition support programs for both students and their parents.
