통합 상황에서 장애 대학생 교육에 대한 교수의 경험 및 인식

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 4년제 대학의 통합 교육 상황에서 장애 대학생 교수 학습 현황을 교수들의 경험 및 인식을 통해 확인하고, 그에 따른 지원 및 개선 방안을 알아보는 것이다. 연구방법: 연구 방법은 대학에서 다양한 장애 유형의 대학생을 가르친 경험이 있는 교수 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 초점집단 면담(FGI)을 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하는 질적 연구였다. 수집된 자료는 MS 워드 프로그램을 이용하여 전사하였으며 A4 용지 20쪽 분량이었고, 면담 후 연구 참여자로 부터 받은 추가 서면 자료는 4쪽 분량이었다. 자료 분석은 기초적인 개방적 부호화 과정을 토대로 지속적인 자료 비교 방법(constant comparison method)을 거쳐 범주화하였다. 그 결과 3개 영역에 8개의 주제로 요약되었다. 연구결과: 첫째, 교수들은 통합 교육에 대해 양가적인 인식을 경험하였다. 둘째, 장애대학생들은 수업시간에 잘 집중하지 못하고 교수들이 지속적으로 관심을 가져야 하며 읽고 쓰기 기술, 의사소통 기술, IT활용기술, 긍정적인 동료관계 및 사회성 기술이 필요하다고 하였다. 셋째, 교수 학습지원 개선방안으로는 사회 및 심리적지지 환경 마련, 장애학생에 대한 사전 정보제공, 장애학생 입학 및 통합 기준이 마련되어야 한다고 제안하였다. 결론: 이상의 결과를 선행연구와 비교하고 통합 상황에서 장애 대학생들의 효율적인 교수학습지원을 위한 방안을 논의에서 다루었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the current status and perception about the teaching·learning for the college students with disabilities and to suggest the improvement consideration. Method: The participants were 5 professors who had ever taught the college students with a various of disabilities. The method was a qualitative study by Focus Group Interviews. Data were collected by Interviews and transcribed in MS word program, the amount was 20 pages and additional 4 pages of A4 paper. Data were analysed to categorize primary open coding and constant comparison method. It was summarized to 3 categories and 8 themes. Results: First, professors have ambivalent experience of inclusive education at college. Second, the students with disabilities were inattention at class and the professors had to be interested in their attitudes. And they were required to get reading /writing, communications, IT utility and social skills. Third, social and cultural support were required to effective inclusion at college. As well, they suggested that information of the students with disabilities should share to all of the professors and the criterion of entrance / inclusion for the students with developmental disabilities should be prepared. Conclusion: Based on the results, the implications and improvement consideration were discussed.
