영문 초록

The aim of this study is, by looking into the verbal aspect of Korean and Mongolian and its related concepts, to examine and interpret the lexical semantic aspect of verb classified by aspectual features, and the grammatical aspect of verb combined with the assistance declinable word in a systematic, comprehensive way. The study argued that aspectual features are determined by the lexical meaning of the verb itself andthe verbs can be classified according to the features. It was also claimed that the connective endings, ‘-(-어)’ and ‘-ko(-고)’ of aspectual meaning, are applied to the classification of the verbs. After showing the system and features of aspects in the Korean language, this approach was applied to the Mongolian language. The results showed that there is no significant difference in interpreting aspects of languages in the same language family. Based on this finding,aspectual features were established first and verbs were classified accordingly. The aspectual features of verbs were divided into [±dynamic], [±accomplishment], [±momentariness], and [±accession], and verb classes were divided into various kinds of verbs such as state verbs, psychological verbs, activity verbs, change verbs, accomplishment verbs, momentary verbs, and transition verbs.
