장애형제자매를 둔 비장애형제자매를 위한 학업적, 심리·정서적, 진로적 지원 탐색

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 현재 교육현장에서 장애형제자매를 둔 비장애형제자매들의 학업적, 심리·정서적, 진로적 영역에서의 어려움을 살펴보고 각 영역에서 지원되어야할 요소들을 비장애형제자매 당사자 및 전문가 심층면담을 통해 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구방법: 장애형제자매가 있는 비장애형제자매 대학생 6인과 장애형제자매가 있는 비장애형제자매 학생을 지도 및 상담한 경험을 가진 교사 6인을 반구조화된 질문지를 활용하여 심층면담하였다. 연구결과: 실시한 면담자료를 분석한 결과 5개의 주제와 10개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 최종 도출된 5개의 주제는 1) 비장애형제자매와 장애형제자매와의 관계, 2) 장애형제자매가 비장애형제자매에게 미친 영향, 3) 비장애형제자매를 위한 학업적 지원, 4) 비장애형제자매를 위한 심리·정서적 지원, 5) 비장애형제자매를 위한 진로적 지원이었다. 비장애형제자매는 장애형제자매와 독특하면서도 보편적인 형제자매관계를 맺고 있었으며, 그들의 형제자매로부터 긍정적, 부정적 영향을 받고 있었다. 또한, 독립적인 학업공간과 학습프로그램이 필요하였으며, 학교 안에서 여러 심리·정서적인 어려움에 대한 상담을 받을 수 있는 시스템이 갖추어지길 원하였으며, 스스로 선택할 수 있는 다양한 진로경험이 제시되어야할 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 장애형제자매를 둔 비장애형제자매를 위한 학업적, 심리·정서적, 진로적 지원방안을 논의에서 다루었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the difficulties in the academic, psycho-emotional, and career fields of non-disabled siblings who have siblings with disabilities, and to analyze the factors to be supported in each area through in-depth interviews with non-disabled siblings and teachers of them. Method: Six non-disabled siblings who are college students and six teachers with experiences of guiding and counseling non-disabled siblings with disabled brothers and sisters were interviewed in-depth. Results: As a result of analyzing the interview data, 5 topics and 10 sub-topics were derived. The final five themes included: 1) the relationship between non-disabled siblings and siblings with disabilities, 2) the influence of siblings with disabilities on their non-disabled siblings, 3) academic support, 4) psychological and emotional support, and 5) career support for non-disabled siblings. Non-disabled siblings had a unique and universal sibling relationship with disabled siblings and were positively and negatively affected by their siblings. In addition, they need to participate in independent academic spaces and learning programs and need various career experiences that can be chosen on their own. They hope that their schools have a system to receive counseling on psychological and emotional difficulties. Conclusion: Based on the above results, academic, psychological-emotional, and career supports for non-disabled siblings were discussed.
