국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 일반학교 전공과 학생의 학교생활 경험은 어떠하며, 학생들이 생각하는 학교생활의 의미는 무엇인지에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: K도에 위치한 햇살고등학교 전공과 학생 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였고, 개별 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 학생들은 교사와 부모의 권유에 의해 전공과에 진학하게 되었고, 전공과에 진학하면 다양한 기술을 배울 수 있을 것이라고 생각하였다. 둘째, 학생들은 전공과 친구들과 함께할 수 있는 시간이 충분하며, 교복이 아닌 사복을 입음으로써 성인이 되었다는 것을 실감할 수 있었다고 하였다. 셋째, 학생들은 전공과의 친절하고 좋은 선생님을 자신들의 울타리라고 생각하였고, 전공과 선배와 후배 간의 친밀감을 중요하게 여겼다. 넷째, 학생들은 직업교육 중심의 세분화된 수업에 만족하지만, 각자의 적성과 수행 수준에 따라 어떤 교과는 재미있지만, 어떤 교과는 어렵다고 생각하였다. 다섯째, 학생들은 취업에 필요한 기술과 자격증 취득을 위해 전공과에서 직업교육 위주의 수업이 필요하다고 생각하였고, 현장실습을 통해 직무를 능숙하게 처리할 수 있었다고 하였다. 마지막으로, 학생들은 전공과 교육이 취업과 일상생활에 도움이 되고, 자립을 위한 준비에 도움이 된다고 하였다. 결론: 전공과 학생들은 전공과에서의 다양한 교육활동을 통해 독립적인 삶을 살아가기 위한 연습의 기회를 가질 수 있었고, 자립을 꿈꿀 수 있는 소중한 시간을 경험할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study investigated what kinds of experiences students in a majoring course in a general school had through school life and what the students think about the meaning of school life experiences. Method: The study included five students from the majoring course of Sunshine High School located in K-do, and data were collected through individual interviews and qualitatively analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. Results: First, the students being encouraged by teachers and parents were the reasons for entering a majoring course after high school, and thought that they would be able to learn various skills if they went to a majoring course. Second, the students said that they felt comfortable in schools and had enough time to spend with their friends and felt that they became adults by wearing plain clothes. Third, the students thought of kind and good teachers as a fence and maintained a sense of intimacy between seniors and juniors. Fourth, most of the students were satisfied with the subdivided classes centered on vocational education, which was the same subject depending on their aptitude and level of performance, and it was fun for some, but difficult for others. Fifth, the students said that vocational education-oriented classes were needed to obtain skills and certificates necessary for employment, and that they became familiar with and proficient in the given jobs through field training. Sixth, the students were able to prepare for independence through educational activities with a majoring course that helped them get a job, helped their daily lives and allowed them to do it on their own. Conclusion: Through various educational activities in the majoring course, the students were able to have valuable time to realize their dream of independence and practice living an independent life.
