국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 온라인 북클럽 활동이 중학교 특수학급 장애학생의 독서태도 및 자기표현력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구방법: 경기도의 6개 중학교 특수학급에 재학 중인 장애학생 20명을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단에 각각 10명씩 배치한 후, 실험집단을 대상으로 온라인 북클럽 활동 10회기를 실시하였다. 활동이 학생의 독서태도 및 자기표현력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 두 집단의 독서태도, 자기표현력 검사의 사전-사후 차이점수를 독립표본 t 검정을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 온라인 북클럽 활동에 참여한 실험집단 장애학생의 독서태도는 통제집단 학생과 비교하여 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 온라인 북클럽 활동에 참여 한 실험집단 장애학생의 자기표현력은 통제집단 학생과 비교하여 유의미하게 향상되었다. 결론: 본 연구는 중학교 특수학급 장애학생의 독서태도 및 자기표현력 향상에 효과적인 온라인 북클럽 활동의 구체적인 실시 방법을 제시하였으며, 장애학생이 즐길 수 있는 여가활동의 한 유형으로 읽기 쉬운 책을 활용한 북클럽 활동을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of online book club on reading attitude and self-expression skills of middle school students with disabilities. Method: Participants in this study were 20 students with disabilities(10 in the intervention group and 10 in the control group) in middle school special education classes. A total of 10 sessions of online book club were provided and to find out the effectiveness of online book club, an independent sample t test was conducted to compare the two groups on the mean difference scores on reading attitude test and a self-expression skill test. Results: First, the reading attitudes of middle school students with disabilities participating in online book club improved significantly compared to those of the control group. Secondly, the self-expression skills of middle school students with disabilities participating in online book club improved significantly compared to control group. Conclusion: This study was meaningful in that it presented how to implement online book club that could improve communication skills in natural interaction situations between students with disabilities. Also, the results of this study have shown that online book club is a type of leisure activities that students with disabilities can enjoy.
