국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 장애대학생들이 인식하는 대학생활 관련 어려움과 이에 따른 지원요구를 밝히는데 있다. 연구방법: A대학교에 재학 중인 총 21명의 장애대학생들이 연구에 참여하였으며, 연구 참여자들은 시각장애, 청각장애, 지체장애 및 뇌병변장애학생들로 구성되었다. 연구 참여자들을 대상으로 수업, 대인관계, 일상생활 관련 어려움 및 지원요구와 관련한 개별 심층 면담을 시행하였다. 수집된 면담 자료는 지속적 비교분석법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구 참여자들은 수업, 대인관계, 일상생활 관련 대학생활에서 다양한 어려움을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 이들의 지원요구로는 학교 구성원들의 장애이해 및 태도 개선, 장애학생의 개별적 필요에 부합하는 충분한 학습지원 및 서비스 제공, 교내건물 및 시설설비의 접근성 향상 등이 보고되었다. 결론: 연구 결과를 바탕으로 질 높은 장애학생 고등교육과 장애대학생의 성공적인 대학생활을 위한 시사점 및 지원방안을 수업, 대인관계, 일상생활로 구분하여 논의 및 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of university students with disabilities regarding the difficulties and support needs related to college life. Method: A total of 21 participants enrolled in a university participated in the study, consisting of students with visual impairments, hearing impairments, physical disabilities, or brain lesions. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted with the participants to investigate their difficulties and support needs regarding classes, interpersonal relationships and daily life. The data collected were analyzed according to the continuous comparative analysis method. Results: The experiences of students with disabilities were largely classified into classless, interpersonal relationships as well as daily life, and it was found that participants experienced a variety of difficulties in each area. For a successful college life, support needs were identified, such as improvement of school members’ awareness and attitudes regarding people with disabilities, providing sufficient learning support and services meeting the individual needs of students with disabilities, and improvement of accessibility to buildings and facilities on campus. Conclusion: Based on the results, we discussed the implications of support plans related to classes, interpersonal relationships, and daily life for high quality higher education and successful college life of students with disabilities.
