장애성인의 의사소통문제에 대한 전문가들의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애성인의 의사소통문제 및 언어치료에 대한 전문가의 인식을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상자는 대구·경북, 부산·경남의 장애인 이용기관에 근무하는 전문가들 125명이다. 장애성인 의사소통문제 및 언어치료에 대한 전문가의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 전문가를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 22.0을 사용해서 빈도분석, 교차분석, 일원변량분석(ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과, 첫째, 전문가들은 장애성인의 의사소통문제에 대한 언어치료지원의 필요성을 높이 인식하고 있었으며 전문가들의 인구사회학 특성에 따라 의사소통문제에 대한 언어치료지원의 인식에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 장애성인들은 언어치료에 대해 잘 모르는 것으로 나타났으며 언어치료지원도 적절히 이루어지지 않는 것으로 인식하였다. 셋째, 전문가들이 인식하는 장애성인들이 나타내는 의사소통의 문제는 표현언어가 가장 많았으며 대화의 어려움과 자신의 의사표현에 어려움이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 장애성인들이 사용하는 의사소통수단은 구어와 비구어를 함께 사용한다는 응답이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 전문가들은 장애성인의 의사소통문제에 대한 중재가 언어이해, 언어표현, 언어사용 영역에서 동시에 이루어져야한다고 응답하였다. 다섯째, 전문가들은 의사소통문제를 가진 장애성인을 만나면 직·간접적인 방법으로 대상자를 교육 및 치료한다고 하였다. 본 연구는 장애성인들에게 적절한 언어치료지원이 이루어질 필요성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of communication disorders and speech and language therapy in adults with disabilities. The participants were 125 experts including special teachers, social workers, double license and speech and pathology. Experts perception was measured with questionnaire related to communication disorder. These data were analyzed through descriptive analysis, frequency, cross analysis and One-Way ANOVA using SPSS WIN 22.0. The main results were as follows. First, experts were aware very highly the need for speech and language therapy services for adult with disability with communication disorders, experts showed significant differences in the awareness of speech therapy services in accordance to sociology of population characteristics. Secondly, they think adult with disabilities dont know much about speech therapy services, does not have the appropriate support of speech and language therapy for adult with disabilities. Third, experts were aware adult with disability was shown the most difficult in the expression, represent a problem in the conversation, experts were aware the verbal and non-verbal together is most often used in communication on adult with disability. Fourth, experts were aware the most preferred area is language understanding, language expression, in such as the use of language at the same time in mediation for communication disorders of adult with disability. Fifth, experts responded that when experts met adult disorder with communication disorders, experts treating a subject with direct and indirect way. This study imply that there is a need for appropriate support of speech and language therapy for adults with disabilities.
