휠체어 사용 지체장애인의 체지방량, 신체활동량,일상생활 수행능력(ADL)간의 관계

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 남자 휠체어 사용 지체장애인의 상체 체지방량, 신체활동량, 일상생활 수행능력(ADL)과의 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 남자 휠체어 장애인 174명을 대상으로 피부두겹법을 이용하여 상체 체지방량을 산출하였고, Baecke’s 신체활동 질문지를 사용하여 일 관련 신체활동 지수(WI), 운동 관련 신체활동지수(SI), 운동을 제외한 여가시간 신체활동 지수(LI)와 일상생활능력(ADL) 질문지를 통해 검사하였다. 자료처리는 Windows SPSS 16.0 프로그램을 이용하여 각 변인별 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였으며, 상관관계분석, 단순회귀분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같았다. 체지방량, 신체활동량, ADL간에는 WI, LI와 체지방량을 제외한 나머지 변인 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신체활동량이 ADL에 미치는 영향력에 대한 회귀선의 적합도 검정결과 긍정적인 영향을 미치는것으로 나타났으나, 체지방량이 ADL에 미치는 영향력에 대한 회귀선의 적합도 검정결과는 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 비추어 볼 때 휠체어 사용자들에게 적극적인 신체활동 참여를 통하여 일상생활 수행능력의 향상을 기대할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among participation in habitual physical activities, upper body skinfold, and ADLs in wheelchair users. To achieve this, 174 males in wheelchair users were examined. Baecke’s habitual physical activity questionnaires which is composed of WI, SI, and LI, upper body skinfold, and Barthel Activities of Daily Living and were used to examine them. The mean value and standard deviation were obtained and correlation, simple regression, and multiple regression were used for analysis by using Windows SPSS 18.0. The result of this study was as follows. This study revealed that there were statistically significant relationships among habitual physical activity, upper body skinfold, and ADLs except LI. Also it was revealed that habitual physical activity affects ADLs, the ability to perform activities of daily living. Upper body skinfold was not significantly affects ADLs after analyzing goodness of fit of regression analysis. Habitual physical activity and upper body skinfold were also significantly affects ADLs after analyzing goodness of fit of regression analysis. This study suggests that wheelchair uses should participate in physical activity to be expected to improve their abilities to perform activities of daily living, as the results of this study shown that habitual physical activity affects the ability to perform activities of daily living in wheelchair users.
