동ㆍ서독의 정치 이념 변화에 따른 체육교육 정책 변화 양상 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 제2차 세계대전 후 분단으로 인해 서로 다른 정치적 이념을 지닌 동독과 서독(1949 - 1990)의 체육교육 정책의 발달과정 및 배경을 규명함으로써 체육교육 및 체육사 연구의 이론적 기반을 확립하고, 아울러 양국 간 비교ㆍ분석을 통해 미래 새로운 체육교육 정책을 계획ㆍ수립하는 데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 연구방법은 주로 문헌고찰 및 분석법을 이용하였으며, 동독과 서독의 체육교육의 특수성을 밝히고자 기술적인 방법을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서독의 체육교육은 바이마르시대의 민주주의와 인간적인 틀에서 시작함으로써 나치정권의 정치적 오용으로 시련과 박해를 박아오던 체육 과목은 졸업시험에 필수과목으로 채택되어 교육적인 신뢰도를 구축하게 되었고, 점차적으로 평생체육의 일환으로 학교에서 여가스포츠를 장려함으로써 신체 활동의 습득 및 의식 전환을 위한 교육으로 목적이 변화되었다. 둘째, 동독에서 체육교육의 발전은 막스와 레닌주의를 기초하는 소련으로부터 절대적인 영향을 받았고, 이에 따라 학교에서 체육교육은 국가가 지향하는 이념체계를 전달하고 고착화하는 데 매우 중요한 역할을 하였다. 특히 특별과외활동을 포함한 학교체육과 경쟁적인 스포츠 활동은 막시스트 철학에 따라 사회주의적 인격을 양성하고, 사회주의적 민주주의의 새로운 인간으로서 우월성을 입증하는 데 활용되었다. 셋째, 동독과 서독의 체육교육 개념 변화는 서로 다른 시기임에도 유사한 상호작용이 발생하였으며, 양국의 체육교육 체계는 이념에 기초가 되는 철학적ㆍ정치적인 배경과 목적에 따라 차별화가 나타났다. 특히 교내ㆍ외에서 실시한 특별 체육 활동은 두 국가에서 완전하게 다른 중요성을 내포하고 있었다.

영문 초록

TThe purpose of this study is to provide basic data required to plan and establish a new physical education policy through the establishment of theoretical foundation of physical education and physical education history research by clarifying the development process and background of the physical education policy between East Germany and West Germany (1949 - 1990) that have a diverse political ideology respectively due to the division after the Second World War. As for the research method, literature review and analysis method were mainly used and descriptive method was utilized in order to reveal the specialties of the physical education of East Germany and West Germany. The research results are as follows. First, starting from the democracy and human frame of the Weimar Era, the West German physical education that had gone through trials and prosecution due to the political misuse of the Nazi Regime was selected as a requisite subject of the graduation test and built reliability and school gradually encouraged leisure sports as a part of life-long sports and the education purpose was changed for the acquirement of physical activities and the conversion of consciousness. Second, the development of the East German physical education was given absolute influence from Soviet that was based on Marxism and Leninism and accordingly, the school physical education played an important role in transferring and adhering the ideological system aimed by the nation. In particular, the sports activities competing with school physical education including extracurricular activities were utilized to prove superiority as a new human of socialist democracy as well as to raise socialist personality according to the philosophy of Maxist. Third, the notion changes of the East and West German physical education caused similar interaction in spite of each different period and the physical education systems of the two countries showed differentiation according to the philosophical and political backgrounds and purposes. Specially, the special physical activities performed inside and outside of school contain completely different importance in the two countries.
