문제기반학습(PBL)을 활용한 교양역사 강의 개발 및 운영사례 -S대 ‘역사학 입문’ 과목을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 S대학교 ‘역사학입문’ 교과목에 문제기반학습(PBL)을 적용한 교수학습 체제를 분석하고 교육적 성과를 검토하는데 목적이 있다. 수업은 사료학훈련, 쟁점 중심 토론, 역사 영상콘텐츠 제작 활동이 단계적으로 연계되도록 구성되었으며, 개인 과제와 조별 프로젝트를 통합해 학습자의 탐구 경험이 누적될 수 있도록 설계되었다. 특히 묘청 관련 사료 해석 토론은 AHD 비판과 다층적 해석 관점을 형성하여 이후 모든 PBL 활동의 해석 원리로 기능하였다. 분석 결과, 학습자는 사료 분석 역량, 역사적 사고력, 비판적 해석능력, 협업 및 창의적 문제해결 능력을 향상시켰으며, 산출물 제작 과정에서 역사적 사건과 인물에 대한 이해가 심화되었다. 이러한 결과는 교양 역사교육에서 PBL 활용의 가능성과 학습자 중심 수업의 실천적 방향을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching and learning system applying problem-based learning (PBL) to the 'Introduction to History' subject of S University and to review educational outcomes. Classes are designed so that historical research training, issue-oriented discussions, and historical video content production activities are linked in stages, and learners' inquiry experiences can be accumulated by integrating individual tasks and group projects. In particular, the feed interpretation discussion related to the cemetery formed an AHD criticism and a multi-layered interpretation perspective and then functioned as an interpretation principle for all PBL activities. As a result of the analysis, learners improved their feed analysis ability, historical thinking ability, critical interpretation ability, collaboration and creative problem-solving ability, and their understanding of historical events and characters intensified in the process of producing outputs. These results suggest the possibility of using PBL in liberal arts history education and the practical direction of learner-centered classes.
