국문 초록

1935 is the year when , the first talkie movie was produced to give a boost to movie industry. However, movie circle had to face dark age in 1940 when ‘Decree for Chosun Movie’ was proclaimed. ‘Decree for Chosun Movie’, which was a law corresponding to the war of aggression promoting the union between Korea and Japan, was a strong controling policy to domain whole movie circle. Its main content was obliged to show the movie to propagate Japan and was to limit to import or show foreign movies. In addition, the regulation to force the movieman to be registered and their function to be examined, made the movieman restricted in his activities. Under the Japanese’s policy of suppression and control, pro-Japanese groups emerged in this field. They took a lead to support Japanese policy and annihilate national culture. Especially, in 1942, Joseon Film Production Corporation was founded in exchange for forcing to shut down most Jeseon film companies and neutralizing a movie circle. Indeed end of Japanese colonial era was a wrethed period when Koean moviemen were conspicuously suppressed. Pro-Japanese films were produced initialized by in 1938. (Cho In-kyu, in 1941) was based on an orpha. nge named Hyangrinwon and raised an issue of colonial policy of subjecting to Japan of the union of Korea and Japan. (Lee Byung-il, in 1941) showed a poor film industry and a robber baron to propagate Jeseon Film Act. (An Sok-young, in 1941) and (Park Gi-chae, in 1943) propagated a volunteer system. In particular, all of them had pro-Japanese scenes throughout the movies and was produced in Japanese. Through these four movies, the story and the type of other pro-Japanese films can be figured out.
