국문 초록

Purpose: This study evaluated ways to improve the career decision level of nursing students by exploring the relationships between academic achievement, clinical practice satisfaction, major satisfaction, and career decision level. Methods: From February 5 to 16, 2025, data were collected from 146 junior and senior students enrolled in nine nursing colleges located across the country. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 29.0 program. Results: The mean academic achievement, clinical practice satisfaction, major satisfaction, and career decision level of the subjects were 3.94±0.69, 3.32±0.85, 3.71±0.88, and 2.77±0.67, respectively. Clinical practice satisfaction (β=-.70, p<.001) and major satisfaction (β=.83, p<.001) were identified as significant predictors of the career decision level in nursing students, accounting for 21% of the variance in the career decision level (F=9.22, p<.001). Conclusion: The career decision level of nursing students can be enhanced by improving, their satisfaction with clinical practice and their major. Therefore, various learning methods and extracurricular programs related to clinical practice and major courses should be developed and implemented within the department.
