디지털 리터러시와 학습몰입 간의 관계에서 과제난이도 선호의 매개효과 -J대학 대학생을 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구는 COVID-19로 확산한 대학의 디지털 학습환경에서 대학생의 디지털 리터러시가 학습몰입에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 대학생의 과제난이도 선호 특성이 이들 간의 관계를 매개하는지 검증함으로써 대학생의학습몰입 향상방안을 모색하고자 수행되었다. 연구를 위해 중부권 소재 J대학교 재학생을 대상으로 설문 조사를 진행하였고, 수집된 203명의 응답 자료를 통계분석 프로그램 SPSS 22.0으로 분석하였다. 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 디지털 도구 활용역량과 디지털을 활용한 학습 역량을 중심으로 측정된 대학생의 디지털 리터러시는 학습몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 학습몰입의 하위요인(인지적 몰입, 감성적 몰입, 행동적 몰입)에 모두 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 둘째, 디지털 리터러시가 대학생의 과제난이도 선호에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 한편 과제난이도 선호는 학습몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 과제난이도 선호가 디지털 리터러시와 학습몰입 간의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 디지털 의존도가 급속히 증가하는 교육환경에서 디지털 리터러시의 함양이 학습몰입수준을 높이는 직접적인 수단일 뿐만 아니라 디지털 리터러시를 통해 과제난이도 선호 수준을 높이고, 이를통해 학업에 더 몰입할 수 있게 된다는 점을 실증적으로 확인하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to find ways to improve college students' learning engagement by confirming the impact of college students' digital literacy on learning engagement in the digital learning environment of universities spread by COVID-19 and verifying whether college students' task difficulty preference characteristics mediate the relationship between them. A survey was conducted among students at J university of Korea, and 203 responses were collected and analyzed using SPSS 22.0, a statistical analysis program. The results of the study showed that, first, university students' digital literacy, measured by their ability to use digital tools and their ability to learn using digital tools, had a significant positive effect on learning engagement, and all subfactors of learning engagement (cognitive engagement, emotional engagement, and behavioral engagement) had a significant positive effect. Second, digital literacy had a significant positive effect on university students' task difficulty preference, and task difficulty preference had a significant positive effect on learning engagement. Third, it was found that university students' task difficulty preferences partially mediated the relationship between digital literacy and learning engagement. The findings of this study are significant in that they demonstrate not only that digital literacy is a direct and effective means of enhancing learning engagement in an increasingly digital educational environment, but also that it indirectly promotes learning engagement by increasing students' preference for task difficulty, thereby reinforcing their academic involvement.
