델파이 기법을 활용한 마을교육공동체 발달 모형 개발

국문 초록

본 연구는 마을교육공동체의 지속 가능한 성장을 위한 지표 개발의 기초 연구로, 실천공동체(Community of Practice, CoP) 발달 이론을 활용하여 마을교육공동체의 발달 모형을 개발하고 이를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 마을교육공동체의 발달 과정은 어떠한 단계로 구분할 수 있는가? 둘째, 각 발달 단계별 특성과 핵심 실천 활동은 무엇인가? 연구 방법으로는 관련 문헌과 선행 연구를 분석하여 마을교육공동체의 주요 속성과 활성화 요인을 도출하고, 실천공동체 발달 이론에 따라 발달 단계와 주요 활동을 구성하여 모형 초안을 개발하였다. 이후 전문가 협의회를 통해 실제 활동 사례와 현장 적합성을 검토하였으며, 마을교육공동체 전문가 35명을 대상으로 3차례에 걸쳐 델파이 조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과에 대해 평균, 중앙값, CVR, CSS, CVG 등의 통계 분석을 통해 합의 수준과 타당성을 검토하고, 제안된 의견을 반영하여 단계 명칭과 주요 활동 항목을 수정·보완하였다. 그 결과, 마을교육공동체의 발달 과정은 ‘태동기-구축기-성숙기-관리기-도약기’의 5단계로 구분되었으며, 총 15개의 주요 실천 활동이 도출되었다. 또한 마을교육공동체는 실천공동체이자 유연한 참여형 공동체로, 위계적·선형적으로 발달하기보다는 공동체의 내·외부 환경에 따라 순환적 과정을 통해 지속적으로 성장하는 양상을 지니는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 마을교육공동체 발달 모형은 마을교육공동체의 성장 과정과 실천 과제를 체계화하고, 지속 가능한 공동체 운영을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop and validate a growth model for village education communities by applying the Community of Practice (CoP) developmental stage theory, as a foundational study for creating indicators to support their sustainable growth. The research questions were set as follows: first, into what stages can the growth process of village education communities be categorized? Second, what are the characteristics and core practices for each growth stage? To address these questions, the study analyzed relevant literature and prior research to identify key attributes and activation factors of village education communities and drafted preliminary growth stages and core activities based on the CoP theory. A series of expert consultations with field practitioners were conducted to verify field applicability and actual practices. Subsequently, three rounds of Delphi surveys were carried out with 35 village education community experts. Statistical analyses, including mean, median, CVR, CSS, and CVG, were used to examine consensus levels and validity. As a result, a five-stage growth model—comprising Initiation, Formation, Maturity, Management, and Leap stages—and 15 core practices were finalized. Notably, it was confirmed that village education communities, as practice-based and flexible participatory communities, do not grow in a strictly hierarchical or linear manner but require a cyclical and adaptive growth process according to local contexts. The growth model proposed in this study is expected to serve as a foundational framework for systematically organizing the growth process and practices of village education communities and supporting their sustainable and autonomous development.
