지정직업훈련시설 직업상담사가 경험하는 역할 수행의 어려움에 대한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 지정직업훈련시설 직업상담사들이 역할 수행을 하면서 겪는 어려움을 심층적으로 탐색하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 직업상담사 2급 혹은 1급 자격증을 소지하고 지정직업훈련시설에서 5년 이상 근무 중인 연구 참여자들을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하고 질적 사례연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 지정직업훈련시설 직업상담사의 역할 수행의 어려움은 6개의 범주(‘입사 초기 적응의 어려움’, ‘다양한 역할에 따른 어려움’, ‘훈련기관이라는 특수한 환경에 따른 어려움’, ‘상담자로서의 역량 부족에 따른 어려움’, ‘지원 부족에 따른 어려움’, ‘직업상담사에 대한 인식 부족이나 부정적 인식에 따른 어려움’)와 11개의 하위범주로 도출되었다. 연구 결과를 토대로, 직업훈련 품질 제고를 위한 교육적･실무적･정책적 시사점 등을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore in depth the challenges faced by vocational counselors working in designated vocational training institutions during the performance of their roles. To achieve this, in-depth interviews were conducted with participants who held a Level 1 or Level 2 national certification in vocational counseling and had at least five years of experience working at such institutions. The data were analyzed using a qualitative case study approach. The difficulties encountered by vocational counselors were categorized into six major themes: (1) difficulties in initial adaptation after employment, (2)challenges stemming from performing diverse roles, (3)issues related to the unique environment of vocational training institutions, (4) challenges due to insufficient counseling competencies, (5) lack of organizational support, and (6)negative perceptions or lack of understanding about the role of vocational counselors. Based on the research findings, this study discusses educational, practical, and policy implications for improving the quality of vocational training.
