작업치료사의 성격특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

연구목적 : 본 연구는 임상에서 근무 중인 작업치료사를 대상으로 성격특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하여, 작업치료사의 직무만족 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 : 연구대상은 임상에서 근무 중인 작업치료사 92명이었으며, Big-Five 성격 척도와 직무만족도 설문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도 분석, 기술 통계, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 : 연구결과, 성격특성 중 불안정성은 직무만족에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤고(p<.05), 친화성은 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다(p<.01). 외향성, 개방성, 성실성은 직무만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 회귀모형의 설명력은 23.1%로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구는 작업치료사 집단에서 성격특성과 직무만족 간 관계를 규명함으로써, 직무만족 향상을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다. 특히 불안정성이 높은 작업치료사에게 정서관리 및 스트레스 대처 프로그램을 제공할 필요가 있고, 친화성이 낮은 작업치료사에게 대인관계 교육과 팀워크 훈련을 통해 직무만족을 높일 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objective : This study aimed to examine the effects of personality traits on job satisfaction among occupational therapists working in clinical settings and to provide foundational data for improving job satisfaction within this professional group. Methods : The participants were 92 occupational therapists currently employed in clinical practice. Data were collected using the Big Five Model and a job satisfaction questionnaire between April 10 and April 23, 2025. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0, including reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, and multiple regression analysis. Results : The results indicated that neuroticism had a negative effect on job satisfaction (p<.05), while agreeableness had a significant positive effect (p<.01). Extraversion, openness, and conscientiousness showed no significant effects on job satisfaction. The regression model explained 23.1% of the variance in job satisfaction. Conclusion : This study provides valuable insights into the relationship between personality traits and job satisfaction among occupational therapists. The findings suggest the need for emotional regulation and stress coping programs for therapists with high neuroticism, as well as the development of interpersonal skills training and teamwork programs to enhance agreeableness and improve job satisfaction.
