국문 초록

연구목적 : 본 연구는 경도인지장애(MCI) 노인의 인지기능 향상을 위한 손 기능 기반 인지재활 도구의 개발 필요성을 조사하는 데 목적이 있다. 손 기능이 뇌의 인지기능에 미치는 영향을 고려하여, 기존 인지 재활 도구의 한계를 보완하고 손의 소근육 운동과 인지기능을 결합한 새로운 도구 개발의 타당성을 확인하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2024년 12월 2일부터 12월 31일까지 부산, 울산, 경남 지역의 작업치료사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 105부의 설문지가 배부되었으며, 회수된 99부 중 불성실한 응답 2부를 제외한 97부를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 설문지는 경도인지장애 및 손 기능과 인지기능의 연관성, 도구 개발 필요성 및 타당성을 평가하는 문항들로 구성되었다. 수집된 데이터는 SPSS 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계 및 빈도분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과 : 설문 분석 결과, 응답자 대부분이 손 기능과 인지기능을 결합한 도구의 개발 필요성에 대해 긍정적으로 응답하였다. 손 기능 향상을 위한 도구 개발 필요성은 평균 4.12점으로 높게 나타났으며, 도구의 구성항목 적절성에 대해서도 4.09점의 긍정적인 평가를 받았다. 그러나 도구 사용법의 이해도는 3.78점으로 상대적으로 낮게 평가되어, 사용법 개선의 필요성이 제기되었다. 결론 : 본 연구는 경도인지장애 노인을 위한 손 기능 기반 인지재활 도구의 개발이 필요하다는 작업치료사들의 강한 지지를 확인하였다. 개발된 도구는 인지기능과 신체기능을 동시에 중재할 수 있는 도구로서, 노인의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 추후 연구에서는 도구의 구체적 사용성 평가와 그 효과성 검증이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objective : This study aims to investigate the need to develop a hand function-based cognitive rehabilitation tool to improve cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Considering the impact of hand function on brain cognitive function, the study seeks to address the limitations of existing cognitive rehabilitation tools and assess the feasibility of developing a new tool that combines fine motor exercises with cognitive enhancement. Methods : This study conducted a survey of occupational therapists in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions from December 2 to December 31, 2024. A total of 105 questionnaires were distributed, and 99 were collected. After excluding two insincere responses, 97 questionnaires were analyzed. The survey included items assessing the relationship between hand function and mild cognitive impairment, the need for tool development, and its validity. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency analysis via the SPSS statistical program. Results : The analysis showed that the majority of respondents acknowledged the necessity of developing a tool that integrates hand function and cognitive function. The necessity of developing the tool achieved a high mean score of 4.12, while the appropriateness of the tool’s components was positively evaluated with a score of 4.09. However, comprehension of the tool’s usage was relatively lower, with a score of 3.78, highlighting the need for improvements in usability and instructional clarity. Conclusion : This study identified strong support among occupational therapists for the development of a hand function-based cognitive rehabilitation tool for older adults with mild cognitive impairment. The developed tool is expected to contribute to improving the quality of life for older adults by simultaneously addressing both cognitive and physical functions. Future research should focus on evaluating the specific usability of the tool and verifying its effectiveness.
