국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 적극적 스트레스 대처방식이 어머니와 유아의 스마트기기 과의 존에 영향을 미칠 때 양육스트레스의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울시 및 경기도 소재 유치원 및 어린이집에 재원 중인 만 3세~5세 유아기 자 녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집한 자료 에 대해 빈도분석, Pearson 상관분석, PROCESS macro의 Model 4를 활용한 매개 효과 검증을 실시하였으며, 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 적극적 스트레 스 대처방식이 어머니의 스마트기기 과의존에 미치는 영향에서 양육스트레스는 완전 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 적극적 스트레스 대처방식이 유 아의 스마트기기 과의존에 미치는 영향에서 양육스트레스는 마찬가지로 완전매개역 할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 어머니와 유아의 스마트기기 과의존 수준 을 낮추기 위해서는 어머니의 적극적 스트레스 대처방식 활용을 통한 양육스트레스 경감이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the mediating effect of parenting stress on the relationship between mothers’ active stress coping strategies and smart device overdependence in both mothers and young children. A survey was conducted with 300 mothers who have children aged 3 to 5 years enrolled in kindergartens and daycare centers located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and the PROCESS macro Model 4 to verify the mediating effects. The main findings are as follows: First, parenting stress fully mediated the effect of mothers’ active stress coping strategies on mothers’ smart device overdependence. Second, parenting stress also fully mediated the effect of mothers’ active stress coping strategies on young children’s smart device overdependence. These results suggest that reducing parenting stress through the use of active stress coping strategies by mothers is crucial in lowering the levels of smart device overdependence in both mothers and their children.
