공립유치원 혼합연령 단일학급 교사들의 학습공동체 참여 경험

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 공립유치원 혼합연령 단일학급 교사들의 학습공동체 참여 경험을 탐구하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 혼합연령학급을 1년 이상 지도한 공립유치원 교사 5명이며, 학습공동체에서 연구 참여자 간 상호작용한 자료와 공유 사례, 개 별면담 자료 등을 수집하여 학습공동체 참여 경험의 의미를 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교사들은 혼합연령 단일학급만의 고민을 경험하고 있었고 학습공동체 에서 고민과 해결 방안을 공유하고 상호작용을 통해 답을 찾았다. 작은 유치원의 교육과정 운영의 방향성을 찾으며 혼합연령 단일학급의 가치에 대한 생각이 변하 였다. 비슷한 상황에 처한 공통점을 기반으로 서로의 고민을 나누고 실천 경험을 나누며 협력과 정서적 안정을 주는 동료를 찾아 협력적 관계를 구축하는 경험을 하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 혼합연령 단일학급 교사들의 학습공동체 참여의 의의와 가치를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored the experiences of public kindergarten teachers working in mixedage classrooms and their participation in learning communities. The participants were five public kindergarten teachers who taught mixed-age classes for more than one year. A qualitative approach was employed incorporating interaction data, sharing cases, and individual interviews to analyze the meaning of their participation. The results showed that the teachers were experiencing challenges unique to mixed-age classrooms, and found solutions through collaborative interactions within the learning community. They changed their thoughts about the value of mixed-age classrooms by finding a direction for the curriculum management of small kindergartens. Based on the commonality of similar situations, they shared their concerns and practical experiences, and found colleagues who provided cooperation and emotional stability to build a collaborative relationship. The study underscores the significance of such communities in addressing the unique needs of these educators.
