지속가능발전에 대한 유아기 부모의 인식 및 부모교육 요구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 지속가능발전에 대한 유아기 부모의 인식 및 부모교육 요구 조사를 통해 향후 유아교육현장에서 가정과 연계한 지속가능발전에 대한 방향 탐색과 부모교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위해 B시에 소재하는 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모 290명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 지속가능발전에 대한 부모의 인식은 보통이상으로 알고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지속가능발전에 대한 인식을 영역별로 살펴보았을 때 사회적 지속가능성에 대한 인식이 가장 높게 나타났으며 생태적 지속가능성, 경제적 지속가능성, 정치적 지속가능성 순으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 지속가능발전에 대한 부모교육 요구는 매우 높게 나타났으며, 지속가능발전에 대한 부모교육 내용에 대한 요구를 영역별로 살펴보았을 때 생태적 지속가능성, 사회적 지속가능성, 경제적 지속가능성, 정치적 지속가능성 순으로 요구가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 지속가능발전에 대한 유아기 부모의 인식이 높을수록 지속가능발전 사회적, 생태적, 경제적, 정치적 지속가능성 영역에 대한 부모교육의 요구가 높아지는 정적상관관계가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모들의 지속가능발전에 대한 인식과 요구를 반영하여 지속가능발전 부모교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 자료로 활용하는데 유용한 정보를 제공할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide basic knowledge on the direction of sustainable development of early childhood education connected with home education and to develop education for parents by learning what they know about sustainable development. For this study, a survey was conducted of 290 parents who had an early childhood in B city. The developed program had the following features. First, general knowledge on sustainable development was above average. Social sustainability was the highest, and ecological sustainability, economic sustainability, and politic sustainablilty were high in that order of understanding by subject area. Second, the demand of parents about sustainable development was high, and ecological sustainability, economic sustainability, and politic sustainablilty were high in that order of demand by subject area. Third, a positive relationship in this study was identified: when the parents level of recognition of sustainable development was higher, the parents demand for each subject area was higher, the subject areas were social, ecologic, economic, and politic sustainability. These results, It will provide useful information for developing education programs on sustainable development to help educate parents on sustainable development which would meet the continuous demand of parents.
