국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 창의적 인성과 자기조절력 및 어머니의 내외통제성 간의 상관관계를 알아보고, 유아의 자기조절력과 어머니의 내외통제성이 유아의 창의적 인성에 미치는 상대적 영향력 및 유아의 자기조절력과 창의적 인성 사이에 어머니의 내외통제성이 갖는 매개효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 연구대상은 4~5세 유아와 어머니 163명이다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 창의적 인성과 자기조절력 간에 정적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 자기조절력과 어머니의 내적통제성 사이에는 정적으로 유의미한 연관성이 나타났다. 세째, 자기조절력 하위요인 중 충동성 감소 및 유아의 창의적 인성 하위요인 중 독립심과 어머니의 내적통제성 사이에 정적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 넷째, 유아의 자기조절력과 어머니의 내적통제성이 유아의 창의적 인성에 33.4%의 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 어머니의 내적통제성은 유아의 자기조절력과 창의적 인성과의 관계에서 부분매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 유아의 창의적 인성과 자기조절력 증진 방안 및 이를 위한 부모교육의 방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This research has three main objectives. The first objective was to establish the relationship between young children's creative personality, their self-regulation and mothers' locus of control. The other objectives were to investigate the relative influence that mothers’ locus of control and young children's self-regulation have over their creative personality and to explore the mediating effects that mothers’ locus of control exerts on the relationship between young children's creative personality and their self-regulation. One hundred sixty-three young children's aged four to five years and their mothers were recruited in this study. The results are as follows. First, young children’s creative personality and their self-regulation correlate positively to each other. Second, there are statistically significant positive correlations between mothers’ locus of control and young children's self-regulation. Third, mothers’ locus of control was found to correlate positively with a sub-variable of young children’s creative personality, independence and another sub-variable of their self-regulation, the decrease in their impulsiveness. Furthermore, two main relative contributing factors towards young children’s creativity, mother’s locus of control and children’s self-regulation were found to account for 33.4% of young children’s creativity. Lastly, mothers’locus of control was shown to exert mediating effects on the relationship between young children’s creative personality and their self-regulation. The findings from this research have led to valuable discussions on ways to enhance young children’s creative personality as well as their self-regulation and the future direction of parents education to achieve this goal.
