유아교사의 유아권리인식과 유아권리존중 실행에 관한 연구

국문 초록

그 어느 때보다 인권에 대한 관심과 중요성이 증대되고 있는 현 시점에서 본 연구는 교사의 배경변인에 따라 유아권리인식과 유아권리존중 실행에 차이가 있는지 살펴보고 유아권리에 대한 인식이 유아권리존중 실행에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울시와 경기도에 소재한 유치원 및 어린이집에서 근무하는 교사 260명이다. 이들에게 유아권리존중 실행 질문지와 유아권리인식 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 유아교사의 유아권리인식은 기관유형에 따라 차이가 있어, 유치원교사가 어린이집교사보다 높게 인식하였다. 교사의 유아권리존중 실행수준은 교사의 경력, 유아연령, 기관유형에 따라 차이가 있었다. 교사의 유아권리인식과 유아권리존중 실행은 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 유아존중 실행수준을 높이기 위해 좀 더 효과적인 유아권리존중 교사교육 프로그램이 개발·운영될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This research carries out an in-depth investigation on early childhood teachers' perceptions of the rights of young children and implementation status of children’s rights to respect depending on teacher variables. The subjects consist of 260 early childhood teachers working in kindergartens and child care centers located in Seoul and Kyunggi-do. The research data were collected through examining the answered questionnaires about the early childhood teachers' perception of the rights of young children and implementation status of children’s rights to respect. This investigation shows that teachers' perceptions on the rights of young children were significantly different according to the kind of school. Early childhood teachers' implementation status of young children’s rights to respect was significantly different according to teacher’s career, age of children, and the kind of school. Teachers' perceptions of the rights of young children correlated with implementation status of children’s rights to respect.
