그림책을 활용한 문학교육 프로그램이 만 1, 2세 영아의 문학적 태도와 언어발달에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 그림책을 활용한 문학교육 프로그램이 영아의 문학적 태도와 언어발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 만 1세 영아 26명(실험집단 13명, 통제집단 13명), 만 2세 영아 30명(실험집단 15명, 통제집단 15명)이고, 실험집단 만 1세 영아 13명, 만 2세 영아 15명을 대상으로 10주간에 걸쳐 그림책을 활용한 문학교육 프로그램을 실시한 후 효과를 검증하였다. 검사 결과 만 1세와 만 2세 영아의 그림책에 대한 흥미, 그리고 만 1세 영아의 그림책 읽기 행동, 만 2세 영아의 수용언어, 표현언어에서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 만 1세 영아의 긍정적인 그림책 읽기 행동이 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 어린이집 현장에서 문학을 교육내용을 하는 영아 문학교육 프로그램의 개발 및 적용의 중요성을 시사해 준다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the effects of a picture book based literature education program on infants' and toddlers' attitude about picture book reading and language development(receptive and expressive language, reading behavior, and book handling). Subjects were 26 1-year-old infants(13 experimental group, 13 control group) and 30 2-year-old toddlers(15 experimental group, 15 control group). Test results were analyzed by ANCOVA with a pretest serving as the covariate. The children in the experimental group participated in an proposed picture book based literature education program while the children in the control group participated in the Korean National Child Care Curriculum. The procedure for this study consisted of a pretest, and intervention, and a posttest. The ANCOVA result shows significant overall differences between two groups. The experimental group children showed better attitude about picture book reading, including picture book preferences, spontaneous reading, active participation on reading, and applying to real world situations. And the experimental group children showed better receptive and expressive language, more positive reading behavior, and more skillful book handling behavior.
