중소기업특성화고의 주요 문제점 및 개선 방안 연구

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 중소기업 취업 중점 학교인 중소기업특성화고의 학교 운영전반의 문제점을 분석하고 개선 방안의 효과성·실행가능성 및 우선순위를 분석하여 학교 현장에 맞는 개선 방안과 유관기관의 지원 항목에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 학교 운영 컨설팅을 통하여 문제점 및 개선 방안을 도출하여 설문 조사지를 개발하였고 107개 중소기업 특성화고 인력양성사업 참여 학교(공업․농업 계열)의 담당 교원 총 166명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중소기업특성화고 운영 전반의 주요 문제점은 ‘취업 성과 향상’, ‘학생 역량 강화’, ‘구성원 일체감’, ‘특성화’, ‘신입생 유치’ 등에 걸쳐 존재하는 것으로 나타났고 특히 ‘취업 성과 향상’ 영역의 문제점이 상대적으로 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이 연구에서 제시한 중소기업특성화고의 운영 전반의 주요 문제점에 대한 개선 방안은 대체로 적절한 방안인 것으로 나타났다. 특히 우선순위가 낮은 개선 방안에 대해서는 협약기업 발굴 및 관리 측면, 사업성과 평가 측면, 학생의 장기적인 진로 교육 측면, 교원 조직 구성 측면, 교육과정 편성 및 운영측면, 교원 역량 강화 측면에서 유관기관의 지원과 제도적 변화가 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study tries to suggest improvement plans suitable for school settings and implications by analyzing overall problems of school operation of SMB specialized vocational high schools and the effectiveness, feasibility, and priority of the improvement plans. For this, a questionnaire was developed by drawing the problems and improvement plans through school operation consulting. A survey was conducted targeting total 166 teachers who are responsible for 107 SMB specialized vocational high schools. The results of the study are as follow: First, the major problems of school operation in SMB specialized vocational high schools have found to be ‘improving employment performance’, ‘strengthening student capabilities’, ‘members senses of unity’, ‘specialization’, and ‘attracting freshmen’. And especially, they have found that problems of ‘improving employment performance’ are relatively serious. Second, the improvement plans about the major problems of school operation in SMB specialized vocational high schools have found to be generally proper. Especially, the improvement plans with low priorities require support of the relevant agencies and institutional change in the aspects of ‘finding and managing companies with agreements’, ‘evaluating business performance’, ‘students long-term career education’, ‘creating teachers organizations’, ‘organizing and operating curriculum’, and ‘strengthening teacher capabilities’.
