국문 초록

본 연구는 노인을 대상으로 사진을 활용한 집단미술치료가 노인의 회상기능과 자아통합감에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 65세 이상의 여성노인을 무작위로 실험집단, 통제집단으로 8명으로 나누어, MMSE-K 척도 검 사 결과 24점 이상의 여성노인으로 하였다. 이들을 대상으로 노인 회상기능척도와 노인 자아통합감척도 검사를 실시하였으며, 표집한 자료는 SPSS Statistics Version 20.0을 사용하여 반복측정 변량분석과 대응표본 t-검증을 실시하였다. 첫째, 사진을 활용한 집단미술치료가 노인 회상기능에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 하위영역인 무료함, 자아탐색, 회한, 문제해결 영역에서 유의미한 변화를 보였다. 둘째, 사진을 활용한 집단미술치료가 노인 자아통합감 전체와 하위영역에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 하위영역인 현재생활에 대한 만족도, 노령에 대한 수용에서 유의미한 변화를 보였다. 따라서 노인의 죽음에 대한 불안을 감소시키고 자아통합감을 향상시키는 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of group art therapy applying pictures on reminiscence function and ego-integrity of the elderly. The participants in the study, elderly women over 65 years old were randomly divided by eight members each into experimental and control group. The standard for selection was any elder woman with a MMSE-K scale score over 24. Reminiscence function scale and ego-integrity scale test of the elderly were used to examine any changes before and after the test. Repeated measure analysis of variance and paired t-test were performed. As a result, first, group art therapy applying pictures had an effect on the whole and lower section of the reminiscence function of elderly. There was a significant difference, particularly on boredom, self-search, remorse, and solving problems. In addition, psychologically stable changes were shown during self-exploring through reminiscence and sharing. Second, group art therapy applying pictures had an effect on the whole and lower section of ego-integrity of elderly. There was significant difference in life satisfaction and embracing declining years. In addition, positive changes of ego-integrity were shown by recognizing themselves as of worth in the self-searching process through reminiscence. Therefore, the group art therapy applying pictures affects on reminiscence function and ego-integrity of the elderly.
