국문 초록

4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래와 더불어 대학교양교육의 미래와 방향에 관한 논의가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이는 두 가지 목적에 부합되는 논의일 것이다. 첫째, 4차 산업혁명과 AI 기술이 요구하는 새로운 인재상을 양성해야 한다는 주장을 바탕으로 한다. 둘째, 4차 산업혁명과 AI 기술에 대한 문제점을 바탕으로 비판적 입장을 견지하는 견해이다. 다시 말해서 과학기술의 급격한 발전과 정치, 사회, 문화 패러다임의 급속한 변화는 그에 따른 지식 기반의 내용과 중요성을 변화시키고 있다. 인터넷이나 전자 매체의 보급으로 인해 우리는 세계 각국의 정보를 실시간에 접할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 우리가 필요로 하는 정보를 과거에 비해 비교도 안 될 정도로 빠르고 편리하게 획득할 수 있게 되었다. 특히 근자에 출시된 자연어 모델을 구현한 ChatGPT 역시 궁극적으로는 의사표현과 의사소통이 가능한 언어적 주체로 간주할 수 있다. 챗GPT의 등장으로 교육계는 비상이다. 그렇다면 대학교 교양교육은 AI 기술을 토대로 어떻게 나아가야 하는가? 이러한 연구 필요성을 토대로 본 글은 부산가톨릭대 교양 교과목 중, 사고 능력 함양과 관련된 교양 교과목의 사례를 설명한 후, 그것과 관련된 반성적 고찰이 진행된다. 이는 4차 산업혁명시대에 사고와 관련된 교과목이 교양교육의 가치를 반영해야 한다는 입장을 전제로 하며, 교양교육의 지향점에 부합해야 한다는 입장을 조명하고자 한다.

영문 초록

With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution era, discussions on the future and direction of university liberal arts education are actively underway. This will be a discussion that meets two purposes. First, it is based on the argument that the 4th Industrial Revolution and AI technology should cultivate new talents. Second, it is a view that maintains a critical position based on the problems of the 4th Industrial Revolution and AI technology. In other words, the rapid development of science and technology and the rapid change in political, social, and cultural paradigms are changing the content and importance of the knowledge base accordingly. With the spread of the Internet and electronic media, we can not only access information from around the world in real time, but also obtain the information we need quickly and conveniently compared to the past. In particular, ChatGPT, which implements a natural language model released in recent years, can ultimately be regarded as a linguistic subject capable of expressing and communicating. With the advent of ChatGPT, the education world is on alert. Then, how should university liberal arts education proceed based on AI technology? Based on this research necessity, this article explains an example of a liberal arts course related to the cultivation of thinking skills among the liberal arts courses of Busan Catholic University and then conducts a reflective review related to it. This presupposes the position that thinking related subjects should reflect the value of liberal arts education in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and attempts to illuminate the position that they should meet the direction of liberal arts education.
