유아 디지털 미디어 리터러시 개념 및 구성요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 발달 특성과 놀이 맥락을 반영하여 유아 디지털 미디어 리터러시의 개념을 정의하고, 이에 따른 구성요인과 하위요인을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문헌 분석과 전문가 협의를 통해 이론적 개념과 구성요인을 도출하였으며, 1·2차 델파이 조사를 통해 내용 타당도를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아 디지털 미디어 리터러시의 개념은 ‘유아 발달 수준에 따라 디지털 미디어를 이해하고 활용하며, 이를 통해 감상·표현·창작을 수행하고, 정보를 비판적으로 이해하며, 디지털 사회에서 책임 있는 태도를 지니는 능력’으로 정의되었다. ‘디지털 미디어 이해와 사용’, ‘디지털 미디어 감상과 창작’, ‘디지털 미디어 비판적 이해’, ‘디지털 시민성’의 4개 구성요인과 ‘디지털 미디어 탐색 및 이해’, ‘디지털 미디어 사용’, ‘디지털 미디어 감상’, ‘디지털 미디어 표현’, ‘디지털 미디어 창작’, ‘디지털 미디어 정보의 올바른 수용’, ‘정보의 사실과 상상’, ‘디지털 예절과 타인 존중’, ‘디지털 미디어 사용 규칙’ 등 9개의 하위요인이 도출되었다. 각 요인들은 평균, CVR, CVI, 수렴도, 합의도, 안정도 기준을 충족하였다. 본 연구는 유아기의 디지털 리터러시 개념 및 구성요인을 제시함으로써, 유아기의 효율적인 디지털 미디어 리터러시 역량 함양을 위한 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to define the concept of digital media literacy in early childhood by reflecting the developmental characteristics of young children and their play context, and to explore its factors and sub-factors. Through a literature review and expert consultation, theoretical concepts and factors were derived, and their content validity was verified using a two-round Delphi survey. The findings indicate that digital media literacy in early childhood can be defined as the ability to understand and use digital media according to developmental levels, to engage in appreciation, expression, and creation, to critically understand information, and to demonstrate responsible attitudes in the digital society. Four main factors were identified—Understanding and Use of Digital Media, Appreciation and Creation of Digital Media, Critical Understanding of Digital Media, and Digital Citizenship—along with nine sub-factors: Exploration and Understanding of Digital Media, Use of Digital Media, Appreciation of Digital Media, Expression through Digital Media, Creation with Digital Media, Proper Acceptance of Media Information, Distinguishing Facts from Imagination, Digital Etiquette and Respect for Others, and Rules for Digital Media Use. All factors satisfied the criteria for mean score, CVR, CVI, convergence, agreement, and stability. This study is significant in that it establishes the concept and factors of digital media literacy in early childhood and provides foundational data for fostering effective digital media literacy competencies in young children.
