이주민의 학습 생애사에 관한 질적메타분석 - 형식 학습 경험을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 이주민의 학습 생애사에 대한 심층적 이해를 위해 관련 선행연구들을 비판적으로 검토하고, 이를 총체적으로 정리하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이주민 학습 생애사에 관한 총 11건의 선행연구를 분석 대상 논문으로 선정하고, 연구참여자, 연구방법, 참여자의 내러티브를 추출하여 비교 분석하였다. 분석 방법은 질적메타분석 기법을 활용하였다. 연구결과, 연구참여자는 다양한 이주배경을 지닌 이주자 총 34명으로 집계되었다. 자료 수집과 분석은 주로 슛제의 이야기식 인터뷰와 4차원의 분석 방법을 활용한 것으로 종합되었다. 연구참여자의 내러티브는 국내 ‘형식 학습’을 중심으로 해체와 재배열하였는데, ‘국내 학습 이전’, ‘국내 학습 경험’, ‘국내 학습 경험의 의미’로 분류하였다. 국내 학습 이전은 ‘자국에서의 삶’과 ‘이주 동기’가 도출되었고, 국내 학습 경험은 ‘학습 동기’, ‘연구참여자들이 경험한 국내 학습 과정’, ‘국내 학습 과정의 어려움’이 도출되었다. 국내 학습 경험의 의미는 ‘학습 경험에 따른 개인의 변화와 성장’, ‘가족의 인정과 존중에 따른 관계 개선’, ‘한국을 넘어 자국의 성장을 돕는 꿈 잉태’가 도출되었다. 선정된 연구물을 총체적으로 분석하며 새롭게 발견된 내용을 기반으로 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to critically review and comprehensively organize relevant previous studies to gain an in-depth understanding of the learning life history of immigrants. To this end, a total of 11 previous studies on immigrant learning life histories were selected as the subject of analysis, and the research participants, research methods, and participants' narratives were extracted and compared and analyzed. The analysis utilized qualitative meta-analysis techniques. The study results showed that a total of 34 migrants with diverse migration backgrounds participated in the studies. Data collection and analysis were primarily conducted using narrative interviews and a four-dimensional analysis method. The research participants' narratives were deconstructed and rearranged around domestic ‘formal learning’ and categorized into ‘before domestic learning’, ‘domestic learning experience’, and ‘meaning of domestic learning experience’. ‘Life in the home country’ and ‘motivation for immigration’ were derived from domestic learning before, and ‘motivation for learning’, ‘domestic learning process experienced by research participants’, and ‘difficulties in domestic learning process’ were derived from domestic learning experience. ‘Personal change and growth according to learning experience’, ‘relationship improvement according to family recognition and respect’, and ‘dream conception to help the growth of one’s country beyond Korea’ were derived from the meaning of domestic learning experience. The selected research was comprehensively analyzed and follow-up research was proposed based on newly discovered contents.
