국문 초록

본 연구는 2019~2020년 서울시 25개 행정구역 내 고등학교를 대상으로 교양교사 비율이 징계성퇴학률에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이 관계에서 부적응 자퇴율의 매개효과와 학교폭력 발생비율의조절효과를 검증하였다. 심리상담교사 비율을 통제변인으로 투입함으로써 심리상담 서비스가 학생의학교적응 및 행동문제에 미치는 잠재적 영향력을 배제하여 연구의 내적 타당성을 제고하였다. Hayes의Process Model 7을 활용한 조절된 매개효과 분석 결과, 교양교사 비율이 높은 학교에서 징계성 퇴학률이유의미하게 낮았으며, 이 관계는 부적응 자퇴율에 의해 완전매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학교폭력발생율과 교양교사 비율 간의 상호작용이 부적응 자퇴율에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히, 높은 학교폭력 발생 환경에서도 교양교사 비율이 높은 학교는 부적응 자퇴율과 징계성 퇴학률이상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 조절된 매개효과 검증 결과, 이러한 간접효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로확인되었다. 본 연구는 학교 부적응과 문제행동 감소를 위한 정책적 접근으로서 교양교육 강화의 중요성을 실증적으로 입증하였으며, 특히 학교폭력 발생률이 높은 지역의 고등학교에서 교양교육에 대한전략적 투자가 더욱 효과적일 수 있음을 시사한다. 이는 교육 불평등 해소와 학생 정서 발달 지원을위한 차별화된 교육 자원 배분의 필요성에 대한 학술적·정책적 근거를 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the impact of liberal arts teacher ratios on disciplinary expulsion rates in high schools across 25 administrative districts in Seoul from 2019-2020, examining the mediating effect of maladjustment-related voluntary withdrawal rates and the moderating effect of school violence incidence rates. Psychological counseling teacher ratios were included as control variables to exclude the potential influence of psychological counseling services on student school adjustment and behavioral problems, thereby enhancing the internal validity of the study. Using Hayes's Process Model 7 for moderated mediation analysis, the results showed that schools with higher liberal arts teacher ratios had significantly lower disciplinary expulsion rates, and this relationship was fully mediated by maladjustment-related voluntary withdrawal rates. Additionally, the interaction between school violence incidence rates and liberal arts teacher ratios was found to have a significant effect on maladjustment-related voluntary withdrawal rates. Particularly, schools with higher liberal arts teacher ratios showed relatively lower maladjustment-related voluntary withdrawal rates and disciplinary expulsion rates even in high school violence environments. The moderated mediation effect verification confirmed that these indirect effects were statistically significant. This study empirically demonstrates the importance of strengthening liberal arts education as a policy approach to reducing school maladjustment and problematic behaviors, particularly suggesting that strategic investment in liberal arts education may be more effective in high schools in areas with high school violence rates. This provides academic and policy evidence for the necessity of differentiated educational resource allocation to address educational inequality and support students' emotional development.
