국문 초록

본 연구는 한국, 중국, 미국의 국가별 자료를 이용하여 2010년부터 2020년 기간동안 첨단산업의 무역경쟁력을 측정하고 무역경쟁력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 무역경쟁력의 대리변수로 세계시장점유율과 현시비교우위지수, 무역특화지수를 이용하였다. 분석결과 국내총생산, 외국인 직접투자는 첨단산업의 무역경쟁력에 유의미한 양의 영향을 미치는 반면, 개방도는 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. R&D 투자와 R&D 인력은 첨단산업의 무역경쟁력에 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 첨단산업은 과학기술의 발전을 기반으로 고부가가치를 창출하며 국가 경제의 성장 동력을 제공하는 핵심 산업으로 경쟁력 강화에는 지속적인 기술 혁신이 필요하다. 이에 정부와 민간의 R&D 투자 확대, 산학연 협력 강화, 각종 규제 완화 등 기업의 기술혁신 확보를 위한 프로그램의 확대가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study measures the trade competitiveness of high-tech industries and analyzes the factors influencing it by using data from Korea, China, and the United States during the period from 2010 to 2020. World market share, the revealed comparative advantage (RCA) index, and the trade specialization index are used as proxy variables for trade competitiveness. The analysis results show that GDP and foreign direct investment (FDI) have a significant positive effect on the trade competitiveness of high-tech industries, while the degree of trade openness has a negative impact. Both R&D investment and R&D personnel are found to have significant positive effects on the trade competitiveness of high-tech industries. High-tech industries, which create high added value based on advancements in science and technology and provide a growth engine for the national economy, are core industries that require continuous technological innovation to strengthen their competitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to expand programs aimed at securing corporate technological innovation, such as increasing R&D investment from both government and private sectors, strengthening industry-academia-research cooperation, and relaxing various regulations.
