국문 초록

본 연구는 한국, 중국, 일본의 고령화에 따른 연금제도와 노동시장의 정년제도를 비교한다. 일본은 가장 빠른 속도로 고령화가 진행되어 이미 초고령사회가 되었고, 한국도 2024년 12월 초고령사회에 진입하였다. 중국도 가속되는 고령화로 고령인구가 급증하고 있다. 이렇게 가속된 고령화 속도는 연금제도의 세부적인 체계를 결정하고 정년의 연장을 촉진하고 있다. 연금 제도는 세 국가 각각의 고유한 특징을 반영하여 설계되나 보통 고령층에게 충분한 소득을 제공하지 못하거나 정년제도의 연장을 통해 보완된다. 따라서 소득재분배 효과를 가진 공적연금과 더불어 사적연금의 확충을 통하여 고령자의 소득과 의료비용이 일부 충당되도록 제도가 설계되고 정년연장과 고용연장으로 보완되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the aging structures of South Korea, China, and Japan. Japan has already progressed into a stage of super-aged society, while South Korea has also reached at a super-aged society in December, 2024 and China is accelerating the aging process, leading to a rapid increase in the elderly population. Then, the speed of aging has expedited the establishment of the pension systems and extending the mandatory retirement age. Although each pension of three countries is designed to reflect the unique characteristics of each country, they often fail to meet with sufficient income supports for their elderly. In addition to public pensions having the income redistribution effects, private pension systems and the mandatory retirement age should be expanded to cover the income and medical expenses of their elderly.
