국문 초록

본 논문은 인류세의 생태 위기에 대응하기 위해 소금 유동식(素琴 柳東植, 1922-2022)의 풍류신학을 생태-미학적 신학으로 재구성한다. 인간중심적 사고와 자연 착취로 초래된 기후 위기의 시대를 의미하는 인류세는 인간과 비인간 존재 간의 관계를 재정립할 신학적 방법론을 요청한다. 따라서 본 논문은 인간중심주의를 넘어 신-자연-인간의 상호 내재적이고 유기적인 관계를 강조하는 풍류신학의 생태적 존재론과 미학적 요소를 탐구한다. 이를 위해 풍류신학의 핵심 개념인 ‘한 · 멋 · 삶’을 생태신학적으로 재조명하여 생태적 전환을 위한 생태-미학적 풍류신학의 존재론적이고 미학적인 근거를 마련한다. 본 연구를 통해 ‘한’은 존재자들의 대립과 차이를 상호 내재적이고 유기적인 관계로 승화시키는 포월성의 존재론으로, ‘멋’은 존재자들 사이의 ‘접’하는 만남과 신비적 경험을 통해 형성되는 아름다움과 감각을 설명하는 미학으로, ‘삶’은 생태적 해방과 공존을 가져오는 자기 부정의 수행으로 제시된다. 본 논문은 풍류신학을 생태-미학적 신학으로 재구성하여 생태적 위기 시대에 대응할 한국신학의 새로운 패러다임 구성을 시도한다.

영문 초록

This paper reconstructs Tongsik Ryu’s(1922-2022) Pungryu Theology as an eco-aesthetic theology to respond to the ecological crisis of the Anthropocene. The Anthropocene, marked by the era of climate crisis caused by anthropocentric thinking and the exploitation of nature, calls for a theological methodology to reestablish the relationship between humans and non-human beings. Thus, this paper explores the ecological ontology and aesthetic elements of Pungryu Theology, which emphasizes the interpenetrating and organic relationships among God, nature, and humanity, transcending anthropocentrism. By re-examining the ecological theological implications of the key concepts of Pungryu Theology—‘한(Han) · 멋(Mot) · 삶(Salm)’—this study establishes the ontological and aesthetic grounds of an eco-aesthetic Pungryu Theology for an ecological transformation. Through this research, ‘한’ is presented as an ontology of transcendence that sublimates conflicts and differences among beings into interpenetrating and organic relationships, ‘멋’ as an aesthetics that explains beauty and sensations formed through encounters and mystical experiences between beings, and ‘삶’ as the practice of self-negation that brings about ecological liberation and coexistence. This paper attempts to construct Pungryu Theology as an eco-aesthetic theology, proposing a new paradigm for Korean theology to respond to the ecological crisis era.
