『놈치하탄본 게세르』의 형태론적 연구 - 격어미를 중심으로

국문 초록

몽골어 『게세르』 연구는 최근에 “몽골어 『게세르』 총서”가 출판된 이후로 다시 연구에 활력이 돌고 있다. 몽골어 『게세르』는 대부분 필사본으로 구성되어 있기 때문에 개개인이 보관하는 데는 한계가 있고, 또 몽골어 『게세르』가 구비문학작품이기 때문에 해당 판본의 자료를 구하기위해서는 직접 그 판본이 구전된 지역에 가서 자료를 가져오는 수밖에 없었다. 그러나 2016년에 중국 내몽골문화출판사에서 10여 종의 몽골어 『게세르』 영인본을 출판하여 그 어떤 판본보다 명확하고 본래 판본 그대로의 자료로 연구가 가능하게 되었다. 본고에서는 그동안 연구가 미진했던 『놈치하탄본 게세르』 판본을 언어학적으로 연구하고자 한다. 『놈치하탄본 게세르』 판본에서 나타나는 격어미를 중심으로 다양한 형태의 격어미를 형태론적으로 분류 및 분석하여 당시 몽골인들의 언어상에 대해 깊이 알아보고자 한다. 『놈치하탄본 게세르』를 형태론적으로 분석한 결과, 각각의 격어미들에서 다양한 형태의 구어형 어미들(-gi-yin, -du/-dü/-tu/-tü, -la/-le, -tai/-tei 등)과 당시까지 잔존하고 있는 몇 개의 선고전문어형 어미(-ča/-če 등)를 찾아볼 수 있었다. 또한 강한 구어적인 특성으로 전통몽골어 문법이 잘 지켜지지 않는 모습들(köl-yin(=köl-ün)(7-1-4-14), ǰarliγ-yi(2-1-1-16), boγul-lüge[luγ-a](31-1-16-35) 등)도 다수 관찰할 수 있었다. 현재까지 언어학적인 관점에서 연구가 진행된 몽골어 『게세르』는 『북경본 게세르』와 『융복사본 게세르』를 비롯하여 몇 개의 판본만이 연구가 진행되었다. 앞으로는 그동안 연구가 진행되지 않았던 『오소트사원본 게세르』나 『잠사라노본 게세르』와 같은 몽골어 『게세르』 판본들도 언어학적인 관점으로 연구하여 몽골어 『게세르』의 연구의 폭을 좀더 넓히고자 한다.

영문 초록

Research on the Mongolian 『Geser』 has gained momentum following the recent publication of the Mongolian 『Geser』 Series. Since most versions of the Mongolian 『Geser』 exist in manuscript form, individual possession and preservation have inherent limitations. Moreover, as an oral literary work, obtaining specific versions of the Mongolian 『Geser』 required researchers to travel to the regions where those versions were orally transmitted. However, in 2016, the Inner Mongolia Cultural Publishing House in China published facsimile editions of more than ten versions of the Mongolian 『Geser』, making it possible to conduct research using precise and faithful reproductions of the original texts. This study aims to conduct a linguistic analysis of the 『Nomchi queen's Geser』, a manuscript that has received relatively little scholarly attention. Focusing on the case endings observed in this version, the study classifies and analyzes their various morphological forms to gain deeper insights into the linguistic features of Mongolian at the time. The morphological analysis of the 『Nomchi queen's Geser』 reveals the presence of diverse colloquial case endings (e.g., -gi-yin, -du/-dü/-tu/-tü, -la/-le, -tai/-tei, etc.), as well as several pre-classical literary ending (-ča/-če, etc.) that remained in use during that period. Additionally, numerous instances of strong colloquial influence were observed, leading to deviations from traditional Mongolian grammatical norms (e.g., köl-yin (=köl-ün) (7-1-4-14), ǰarliγ-yi (2-1-1-16), boγul-lüge[luγ-a] (31-1-16-35), etc.). Thus far, linguistic research on the Mongolian Geser has been limited to only a few versions, including the 『Peking Geser』 and the 『Longfu Temple Geser』. Moving forward, linguistic studies should also be conducted on previously unexamined versions, such as the 『Osut Monastery Geser』 and the 『Jamsarano Geser』, further to expand the scope of research on the Mongolian 『Geser』.
