국문 초록

거란 문자 연구는 주로 해독을 중심으로 이루어지고 있으며, 이미 해독된 자소를 체계적으로 정리하고 표준화하는 것은 필수적인 기본 과제이다. 현재 연구 환경에서 거란 소자소의 표준화는 괄목할 만한 진전을 이루었다. 그러나 거란 대자소의 정리 및 표준화는 아직 초기 단계에 머물러 있다. 현재 해독 연구와 자소 표준화가 병행하여 진행되는 경향이 나타나고 있다. 본 논문은 거란 대자소의 두 그룹, 즉 와 ,과을 연구 대상으로 삼아 체계적인 형태 분석과 문헌 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 통해 와 , 과 이 기존 가정과 달리 동일 자소의 변이형이 아닌 독립적인 거란 대자소임을 입증하였다. 이러한 결론을 바탕으로 본 연구는 거란 문자 체계(대자·소자)에 대한 새로운 해석을 제시함으로써 향후 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Research in Khitan scripts primarily revolves around decipherment, while systematically organizing and standardizing the already deciphered graphemes is an essential fundamental task. In the current research landscape, remarkable headway has been achieved in standardizing Khitan Small script graphemes. However, the organization and standardization of Khitan Large script graphemes are still in their nascent stage. Currently, there is a research tendency where decipherment studies and grapheme standardization are progressing in tandem. This paper takes two groups of Khitan Large script graphemes, namely  and ,  and , as its research objects. Through systematic grapheme form analysis and documentary research, it shows that  and ,  and  are not, as traditionally assumed, variant forms of the same grapheme. Instead, they are independent Khitan Large script graphemes. On this basis, the paper further puts forward new interpretations for several Khitan Large and Small script graphemes, providing fresh perspectives for promoting the systematic study of Khitan scripts.
