Promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture is an important policy to implement the “second combination”, a historical need to continue the roots of excellent traditional Chinese culture, an era need to enhance the confidence of the Chinese nation, a practical need to solve the problems of the times, a strategic consideration to enhance national soft power, a choice to ensure national cultural security, a spiritual driving force to achieve national rejuvenation, and a need to satisfy the spiritual comfort of the people. To promote the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture, it is necessary to adhere to the leadership of the Party in the work of creative transformation and innovative development; Ensure the protection and inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture; Using modern media to heat up excellent traditional Chinese culture; Endow Chinese excellent traditional culture with new contemporary significance.

推进中华优秀传统文化创造性转化与创新性发展，是贯彻落实“第二个结合”的重要方针，是延续中华优秀传统文化根脉的历史需要，是增强中华民族自信的时代需要，是破解时代之问的现实需要，是提高国家软实力的战略考量，是保障国家文化安全的关键选择，是实现民族复兴的精神动力，是满足人民精神慰藉的需要。推进中华优秀传统文化创造性转化与创新性发展，必须做到坚持党对创造性转化与创新性发展工作的领导，做好中华优秀传统文化的保护与传承，借助现代传媒让中华优秀传统文化热起来，赋予中华优秀传统文化新的时代意蕴。
