국문 초록

본 연구는 자원기준관점(RBV: Resource Based View)에서 기업이 자원(resource)을 획득하고 능력(capability)으로 발전시키며 이들 자원과 능력을 역량(competence)으로 개발하여 기업의 성과를 향상하는 핵심 이론을 바탕으로 한 연구다. 연구모델은 독립변수인 기술자원의 연구개발 및 제조, 마케팅자원의 마케팅 등 조직의 협력 관리가 종속변수인 기업성과의 향상에 미치는 직접 효과에 대해 국제화가 어떻게 영향을 주는지 실증 분석하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면 조직자원을 관리하는 능력인 부서조직의 협력 관리가 기업성과에 긍정적인 효과를 보여 기능조직의 자원을 연계하는 조직 능력의 개발이 필요함을 제시하였다. 또한 국제화는 조직의 협력 관리가 기업성과에 주는 영향을 더욱 증가시키는 조절 효과를 보여 기업 능력의 효과를 강화하는 역량으로 자원의 해외 배치, 즉 글로벌 가치사슬을 전 세계적으로 구축하는 데 노력을 기울이는 것이 차별화되는 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있음을 설명하고 있다.

영문 초록

The research objective is to investigate how and when the firm’s internationalization strengthens the direct impact of department collaboration on firm performance from a resource-based view perspective. This study adopted a contingency perspective to examine the relationship between department collaboration and firm performance. A conceptual framework was tested based on data obtained from Korean firms. The study suggested that high levels of department collaboration may enhance firm performance by examining the moderating effect of internationalization on the relationship between department collaboration and firm performance. In addition, it specifically examines the extent to which internationalization positively moderates the impact of high levels of department collaboration on firm performance. The results showed that internationalization positively enhances the relationship between department collaboration and firm performance. Firm performance is improved when firms achieve high levels of department collaboration and firm’s internationalization.
