국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 초등학교 5, 6학년 국어 교과서와 교과서에 수록된 문학 텍스트에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식이 어떠한지, 교사와 학생 사이에 인식 차이가 있는지 조사하였다. 방법: 초등학교 교사 94명과 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생 223명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 수행하여 응답을 분석하였다. 결과: 첫째, 교사와 학생 모두 국어 교과의 중요성은 높게 인식하고 있지만 실제 국어 수업 준비 및 학습 시간은 매우 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교 현장에서는 국어 교과서를 사용하는 것이 중요하다고 생각하고 있으며 실제 사용 빈도도 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 국어 교과서에 수록된 문학 텍스트에 대한 교사와 학생 인식 간의 차이가 존재함을 확인하였다. 학생들은 글에서 다룬 소재나 주제가 자신들의 삶과 밀접한 연관이 있고 공감을 잘 불러일으키는 문학 텍스트를 선호하였다. 결론: 국어 교과서의 문학 텍스트를 선정하는 과정에서 다양한 주체들의 의견을 반영하여 문학 텍스트를 선정할 필요가 있음을 제안하며 앞으로 제작될 국어 교과서 텍스트 선정에 있어 큰 시사점과 방향성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The study examined the perceptions of teachers and students regarding the Korean language textbooks for 5th and 6th graders, as well as the literary texts included in the textbooks, and investigated whether there were differences in perceptions between teachers and students. Method: A survey was conducted with 94 elementary school teachers and 223 5th and 6th-grade students, and the responses were analyzed. Results: First, both teachers and students highly recognize the importance of the Korean language subject, but actual preparation and study time for Korean classes are significantly lacking. Second, it was found that in school settings, the use of Korean language textbooks is considered important, and the actual usage frequency is very high. Third, there is a noticeable difference in perceptions between teachers and students regarding the literary texts included in the Korean language textbooks. Students preferred literary texts that have themes or subjects closely related to their own lives and that evoke empathy. Conclusion: It is suggested that the process of selecting literary texts for Korean language textbooks should incorporate the opinions of various stakeholders, and this study provides significant insights and direction for the selection of texts in future Korean language textbooks.
