국문 초록

본 연구는 집단미술치료가 장애아 어머니의 양육스트레스를 감소시키는데 효과가 있는지를 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 대구광역시에 있는 장애아 전담 어린이집에 유아를 등원시키고 있는 7명의 어머니이다. 집단미술치료는 2006년 8월부터 12월까지 주 1회 2시간씩 장애아 전담 어린이집에서 실시하였다. 연구도구는 Abidin(1983)이 개발, 개정한 양육스트레스 척도(Parenting Stress Index / Short Form : PSI/ SF, 1990)를 이귀원(1996)이 수정하여 사용한 양육스트레스 척도를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 집단미술치료 실시 전, 후 그리고 추후의 양육스트레스의 차이검증을 위하여 Wilcoxcon Ranks Sum 검증을 하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 집단미술치료가 장애 유아어머니의 전체 양육스트레스 감소에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 집단미술치료가 장애유아어머니의 양육스트레스 하위요인인 부모의 고통, 부모-아동 간 역기능적 상호작용, 아동의 까다로운 특성을 감소시키는데 효과가 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to find the effect of group art therapy in decreasing the rearing stress of a handicapped infant's mother. The study subjects were seven mothers who were sending their handicapped infants to a public nursery for the handicapped in Daegu, Korea. The program lasted from August to December of 2006, with a total of 10 once-a-week sessions, each lasting 120 minutes, in the 000 Public Nursery for the Handicapped. Research tools used for the study were from the Measurement Scale for Parenting Stress Index/Short Form(PSI/SF). To check the effectiveness of the study, the Wilcoxcon Ranks Sum test was applied to the pre-test, post-test and following test of the PSI/SF. The results based on this study are as follows. First, group art therapy decreases rearing stress related to parental distress. Second, group art therapy decreases rearing stress related to parental-child dysfunctional interaction. It also decreases the stress from raising a difficult child. Finally, group art therapy has an effect on the changes of the mother's actions that may be due to stress.
