오시마 나기사(大島渚)의 재일한국인묘사를 통한 반국가적 표현 연구

국문 초록

일본영화 중에 재일한국인이 등장하는 작품은 많이 있다. 그들 대부분은 소외와 차별 속에서 가난하게 살아가는 소수민족으로 그려지고 있다. 그러나 오시마나기사 감독은 많은 작품을 통해 한일간의 민감한 과거 역사를 작품의 모티프로하여, 일본국가의 잘못을 비판하는데 주저하지 않는다. 더 나아가 일본정부와 일본인들에게 왜곡되거나, 또는 잊혀져 가는 역사 인식에 대해 훈계라도 하듯이, 일본 국가가 저지른 잘못에 대한 강렬한 비판의 메시지를 내재하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 재일한국인 문제를 전면적으로 다루고 있는 <잊혀진 황군(皇 軍)>을 통하여 오시마 나기사의 작품세계를 분석해보고자 한다. 이 작품은 일본의 다큐멘터리 영화사에 있어서 가장 중요하게 평가되고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 그의전체 작품 중에서도 걸작으로 손꼽히고 있다. 그 이유는 첫째로 구일본군 재일한국인 상이군인의 보상 문제라는 충격적인 테마를 그리고 있기 때문이다. 둘째로는 그 테마를 구현하는 표현형식이 매우 독창적이며, 오시마 나기사의 작품 스타일이 응축되어 있다고 할 정도로 오시마적인 표현기법이 다양하게 구사되어지고있기 때문이다. 오시마 나기사 감독의 작품 중에는 일본에 대한 반국가적인 테마를 다룬 영화가 많이 있는데, <잊혀진 황군>은 그 중에서도 대표적인 작품이라고 할 수 있겠다. 그의 주된 주제인 반국가적인 문제, 소외된 인간에 대한 국가의 책임, 범죄자에 대한 근본적인 국가의 책임문제, 재일한국인에 대한 차별문제 등이 <잊혀진황군>에 잘 나타나 있다. 본 논문을 통해서 ‘황군(皇軍)’의 시대적 의미를 알아보고, 작품을 중요장면 별로 나누어 내용과 표현형식을 분석해보기로 한다. 특히, 오시마 나기사가 재일한국인을 매개로 일본국가를 비판하는데 있어서, 직접적으로 또는 은유적으로 어떠한표현기법을 사용하고 있으며, 이후 그의 작품에 전개되는 양상에 대해서 알아본다. 연구대상 작품은 <잊혀진 황군>을 중심으로 하며, 재일한국인이 비중 있게 등장하는 <일본춘가고>와 <교사형> 등의 오시마적인 표현기법과 비교해 본다.

영문 초록

There are many Japanese films about Korean residents in Japan. Korean residents in Japan in majority of these films are depicted as minorities who are living in poverty under alienation and discrimination. However, director Oshima Nagisa did not hesitate to criticize the faults of Japan by using sensitive past history between Korea and Japan as a motif through many works. Moreover, as if he is giving an admonition to the Japanese government and Japanese people about historical awareness that is becoming distorted or forgotten, it is containing a strong message of criticizing the wrongs Japan has committed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the literary world of Oshima Nagisa through which is covering overall problems of Korean residents in Japan. This work is not only being evaluated most importantly in history of Japanese documentary film but is considered as a masterpiece among his entire work as well. The first reason is because it is depicting a shocking theme called a compensation problem of Korean-Japanese of the old Japanese army. The second reason is because the expressional format of the theme is very creative, and Oshima’s expressive technique is being depicted variously enough for work style of Oshima Nagisa to be condensed in it. There are many films that covered antinational theme against Japan among director Oshima Nagisa’s works, and is the most representative work. His main topics as antinational problem, nation’s responsibility for alienated people, nation’s fundamental responsibility for criminals, and discrimination against Korean residents in Japan are well represented in . This study intends to investigate the historical meaning of imperial forces, and to analyze content and expressional format by classifying into important scenes. Specially, this study will investigate which expressive technique Oshima Nagisa is using directly or metaphorically in criticizing Japan, and development phases in his work. The research object is , and will be compared with Oshima’s expressional format of and that highlighted Korean residents in Japan.
