국문 초록

이 논문의 주요 목적은 4차 산업혁명 기술이 전장환경 변화에 미치는 영향을 분석해보고, 변화된 전장 환경에 부합된 한국군의 전장운영개념과 군사력건설 방향을 군사혁신 차원에서 제시하는 데 있다. 4차 산업혁명으로 인해서 더욱더 뚜렷해진 다영역 전장환경 하에서 한국군의 군사혁신은 전장운영개념 조정과 군사력건설을 동시에 추진해야 한다. 이제 합동작전 운용개념은 군종을 통합 운용하는 개념에서 군종과 영역을 동시에 통합 운용하는 개념으로 확장되어야 한다. 이러한 전장운영개념에 적합한 군사력건설을 위해서는 우선 통합적 관점에서 합동작전 기본개념을 구현할 수 있는 영역교차 능력을 확보해야 한다. 둘째 다영역환경에 부합된 지휘 및 부대구조로 개선해야 하며, 셋째 다양한 전투영역과 영역교차 능력의 효율적 운용을 위한 전투영역 간 가변적 균형점을 설정해야 한다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this article is to analyze the influence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era technology on the change it will bring to the combat environment and suggest Operational Employment Concept (OEC) and military buildup direction for the South Korean Military accordingly from a revolution in military affairs (RMA) perspective. Due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the South Korean Military’s revolution in military affairs must be conducted in a much more reinforced manner under a multi-domain battlefield by modifying the OEC and building its military power. From now on, the joint operational employment concept must expand from a concept of integrated operation of each of the military forces to a concept of simultaneous integrated operation of military forces and battle domains. In order to build a military power suitable for this operational employment concept, we must initially establish a basic joint operational concept from an integrated perspective and secure cross-domain capabilities. Secondly, we must reform the army unit structure and command system to a system more compatible with the multi-domain environment, and thirdly, we must lay a variable balance point between battle domains for the efficient operation of various battle domains and cross-domain abilities.
