국문 초록

이 연구는 정신지체아동에 있어서 난화활동이 도형-배경 변별과보고 쓰기 오류에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 했다. 연구대상은 B시의 S초등학교 특수학급에 입급된 2, 3, 4학년의 정신지체아동 3명이었고, 이들은 DTVP검사에서 시지각에 문제가 있는 것으로 판명되었고, 그림그리기는 좋아했으나 보고 쓰기에 오류를 보이는 아동들이었다. 연구방법은 사전-사후검사법을 채택했고, 실험도구는 게임형식의 숨겨진 이미지 찿기에 초점을 맞춘 난화활동프로그램을 개발하여 사용하였다. 이 연구의 결과로, 정신지체아동에 있어서 난화활동은 도형-배경변별 능력이나 보고 쓰기 오류 감소에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 사실과 그러한 난화활동 과정 속에서 관찰되는 행동의 변화도 긍정적이라는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로부터 도출한 결론은, 첫째로 앞으로 이루어질 이와 유사한 연구에서 좀 더 다양하고 흥미있게 프로그램을 보완하고 개발함으로써 정신지체아동의 도형-배경 변별 능력 향상이나 보고 쓰기 오류 감소에 더 많은 기여를 할 수 있을 것이고, 둘째로 난화활동의 기능에 대한 보다 확장되고, 다양한 변인에 대한 후속연구가 필요할 것이라는 점이다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of scribble activity, on the figure-ground discrimination and copy writing error for children with mental retardation. The subjects of this study were three children who were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade enrolled in elementary special education class in B city. These three subjects were shown visual-perception problems in a DTVP Test, had copy writing errors and liked art activity. As the method of this study, pre-post test method was employed, the scribble activity was an independent variable, the effects of scribble activity on figure-ground discrimination and copy writing error were dependent variables. The experimental instruments employed in this study were scribble activity programs focused on finding images in the scribble and used as a game. The result of this study confirmed that scribble activity had positive effects on figure-ground discrimination and copy writing error for children with mental retardation, respectively. The conclusions drawn from this study were as follows: First, it is thought that supplementing and planning of more various and interesting programs in further study can do much more contribution on figure-ground discrimination and copy writing error for children with mental retardation. Second, it is necessary to study various variables to extend the function of scribble activity.
