국문 초록

본 연구는 정서장애 아동을 위한 통합적 서비스의 일환으로 미국에서 호응을 얻고 있는 체계적 보호 접근(systems of care approach)과 그 사정 모형의 특성을 소개하고, 이를 기존의 사정 모형들과 비교함으로써 동일한 대상에 대해 서비스를 제공하고 있는 한국의 현장 실무자들과 교육현장에 함의를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 문헌연구를 통해 4 가지의 사정 모형과 체계적 보호 접근의 사정 모형을 구분하여 제시하였고, 포괄적이고 통합적인 사정 모형이 정서장애 아동을 돕는 실천현장에 도입되어야 하는 필요성과 당위성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to address features of systems of care approach and its assessment modality, and to provide implications for Korean society to make it available for serving children with serious emotional disturbance(SED). Focused on assessment modality, this study categorized and compared five different assessment models that have dealt with children with SED.Authors' discussion suggests that the assessment model of systems of care approach falls into a comprehensive model, which is quite unique from other traditional assessment models. The study highlights the fact that a balanced emphasis (integrating both a pathological paradigm and a strength-based perspective) is necessary and that a comprehensive approach is a better practice to assess the target population, to design coordinated services, and to evaluate the outcomes of the intervention. Implications of the study for clinicians and educators are also discussed.
