장애아동의 사회적 유능성 증진을 위한 기초연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애아동의 사회적 유능성 증진을 위한 기초연구로, 장애아동을 포함한 일반아동들이 다양한 사회적 상황에서 긍정적인 사회적 관계를 형성하고 유지하는데 필요한 사회적 유능성은 어떠한 요인으로 구성되는지 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저, 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니와 교사를 대상으로 사회적으로 유능한 아동들이 보이는 행동은 어떠한지 개방형 질문지를 통해 자유롭게 기술하도록 하였다. 다음으로, 개방형 설문지를 통해 개발된 문항들에 대해 관련전문가들의 검토를 거친 후 설문지를 제작하여 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니 260명에게 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료에 대해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 초등학생들의 사회적 유능성은 공감, 외향성, 자기관리, 정서조절, 표현성, 사회적 지식 이해 등 6개 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 초등학생들의 사회적 유능성은 또래나 대인관계와 관련된 사회적 기술뿐만 아니라 성격이나 인지 등과 같은 다양한 요인들으로 구성된 복합적이고 다면적인 특성을 가진다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 사회적 유능성이 떨어지는 아동의 지도 및 중재를 위해 사회적 유능성의 한 구성요인에만 초점을 맞추는 것이 아닌 기타 영역도 고려하여 다면적으로 접근하여 문제를 파악하고 중재를 실시할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was the preliminary study for social competence development of children with disability and to explore the constructs on social competence. The process of instrument development was completed in two phases. The first phases involved making items. Participants were 187 from both regular school teachers and mothers of elementary-school students. The subjects answered open-ended questionnaire related to characteristics of socially competent students. The number of items obtained from the questionnaire is 63. The second phases was conducted with 260 mothers with elementary-school students to confirm constructs of social competence. And this phases was conducted to define the conceptual framework of the social competence of elementary-school students. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, social competence of elementary-school students are classified into six factors: empathy, extroversion, self-management, emotion control, expressivity, social knowledge understanding. And Cronbach alpha for total 45 items was .94, and cronbach alpha of subscales ranged from .76.～91. These values were quite adequate.
