삽입교수가 통합된 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 기술에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 삽입교수가 통합된 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 기술에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 이를 위하여 통합교육을 실시하는 어린이집에 재원중인 세 명의 발달지체 유아를 대상으로 개별화 의사소통 기술 목표를 선정하였다. 그런 후에 삽입교수 활동 계획안 및 활동 기술 도표를 활용하여서 삽입교수 중재 계획을 세운 후에 일과 중에서 중재를 실시하였다. 중재의 효과를 알아보기 위해서 사용한 연구 방법은 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계 방법으로, 기초선, 중재, 유지 단계 순으로 진행되었다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 일과 중에 적용된 삽입교수는 통합된 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 기술을 증가시켰고, 중재가 종료된 후에도 유지되었음을 알 수 있었다. 국내 삽입교수 연구는 주로 장애 유아의 사회적 상호작용의 향상에 주로 초점이 맞추어져서 이루어져 왔음을 고려해 볼 때, 이 연구는 삽입교수가 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 기술 향상에도 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 증명하였다는데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로, 연구 결과에 기초한 논의점 및 국내 삽입교수에 관련한 연구 방향성에 대한 제언이 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of embedded instruction on the communication skills of young children with developmental delays in inclusive classrooms. For the purpose, individual educational goals of three young children with disabilities in inclusive daycare centers were selected and modified to be used for embedded instruction. Then, activity plans and activity skill matrix were planned and implemented. A multiple-probe across subjects design were used to evaluate the effectiveness of embedded instruction, and baseline, intervention, and maintenance phases were conducted. The results showed that all the participants improved the frequency of communication functions, and positive changes maintained after the completion of intervention. The study is significant in a sense that embedded instruction can be effective to improve communication skills of young children with disabilities, because research trends of embedded instructions in Korea primarily deal with the effects on social-interaction skills. Finally, limitations and future directions for studies were discussed.
