국문 초록

본 연구에서는 아시아국제산업연관 데이터베이스(YNU-GIO)를 이용하여 국제산업연관모델을 구축하고, 미국과 중국, 한국 3국간 수요의존구조를 분석하여 미ㆍ중 무역전쟁 장기화가 우리나 라 제조업에 미치는 파급효과를 분석하고자 한다. 미ㆍ중 무역전쟁은 미국과 중국의 생산뿐만 아니라 글로벌 밸류체인으로 연결되어 있는 전 세계 교역국 모두에게 영향을 미친다. 각국의 생산은 자국의 수요인 내수와 외국의 수요인 외수로 이루어지며, 특히 외수는 중간재 무역을 매개로 각국 경제관계를 긴밀하게 만들어 준다. 따라서 무역전쟁의 영향을 분석하기 위해서는 글로벌 중간재 수요의존구조가 어느 국가 어느 산업에 어느 정도 의존하고 있는지 파악하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 미ㆍ중ㆍ한 3국을 중심으로 한 글로벌 수요의존구조와 교역관계는 향후 보호무역주의와 같은 글로벌 환경변화 속에서 우리나라 경제 활성화와 산업의 새로운 활로 개척을 위한 정책수립 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of China-US trade tensions on Korean manufacturing. This paper was analyzed using the 2012 International Input-Output table. The main contents are analysis of global demand dependency in the United States, China, and Korea, and the ripple effects of final demand changes. According to the analysis results, if China s final demand for the world declines by 10% due to China s economic slowdown due to the trade tensions, the output of Korean manufacturing industry declines by $14,660 million. The conclusion of this paper is that South Korea, which is the most vulnerable to the China-US trade tensions, must find a breakthrough strategy that reflects the global demand dependency structure. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen the competitiveness of Korea s international division of labor and to create business opportunities through new market discovery.
