어린이집 재원 영아 어머니의 양육부담과 양육지원요구 분석

국문 초록

영아들을 양육하고 있는 어머니들은 정부의 여러 가지 양육지원정책에도 불구하고 여전히 양육의 어려움을 호소하고 있다 본 연구는 저출산 문제가 심각한 시점에서 보육과 출산정책을 위한 기초자료를 마련하는데 그 목적을 두고 어린이집에 양육 초기인 영아 자녀를 보내고 있는 어머니들을 취업모와 비취업모로 나누어 양육부담과 양육지원요구를 알아보고 실질적인 양육지원 대책을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 경기 인천 내에 소재하는 국공립 어린이집에 영아 자녀를 보내고 있는 취업모 명 비취업모 명 총 명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다 연구 결과는 첫째 어린이집 재원 영아 어머니의 양육부담 전체에서 취업모와 비취업모 간에 유의미한 차이가 없었으나 양육부담의 하위 범주 중정서적 부담과 경제적 부담은 취업모보다 비취업모가 유의미한 차이로 더 높게 나타났다 양육부담의 하위범주에서 취업모는 신체적 부담・정서적 부담・사회적 부담・경제적 부담 순으로 비취업모는 정서적부담・경제적 부담・신체적 부담・사회적 부담 순으로 양육부담이 있다고 응답하였다 둘째 어린이집재원 영아 어머니의 양육지원요구 전체에서 취업모와 비취업모 간에 유의미한 차이가 없었으며 양육지원요구의 하위범주 간 비교에서도 취업모와 비취업모 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다 양육지원요구의 하위범주 간 순위에서 취업모와 비취업모는 정보적 지원요구・도구적 지원요구・교육적 지원요구・정서적지원요구 순으로 동일하였으며 두 집단 모두 정보적 지원요구가 가장 높았다 이에 따라 취업모와 비취업모의 양육부담을 줄이기 위한 다양한 양육지원 방안이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to investigate the differences in difficulties and support needs of mothers with and without jobs, regarding child raising of infants and toddlers. To attain the purpose, the study surveyed 344 mothers(each 172 mothers with and without jobs) having infants and toddlers in child care and education centers located at Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon cities. The data were analyzed statically. The results are as follows. First, there were no differences in difficulties of child raising between mothers with and without jobs having infants and toddlers in child care and education centers, as a whole. But there showed the significant differences between the two groups in emotional and economic difficulties, and mothers without jobs felt more difficulties than mothers with jobs. Mothers with jobs felt difficulties from child raising, in physical and emotional, social and economic terms, in turn, respectively. Mothers without jobs felt difficulties from child raising in emotional and economic, physical and social terms. Second, there were no differences in overall and sub-categories child raising support needs between two groups. On the order of each sub-category of child raising support needs, there were no differences between two groups of mothers, in informational, instrumental, educational and emotional support needs, in turn, respectively. All the two groups wanted the information support needs, most. According to these results, the suggestions for decreasing difficulties of child raising were discussed.
