영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of practical reasoning Practical Arts instruction on elementary school students problem solving action and ethical action. For this purpose, two fifth grade classes of K Elementary School in Cheongju city were selected and each made a experiment group and control group. The practical reasoning instruction(16 lessons) was applied to experiment group, but conventional lesson was applied to control group. The findings were summarized as follows: First, conventional lesson did not have influence on students problem solving ability and ethical action. Second, the experiment group which received classes through the practical reasoning instruction improved their problem solving ability and ethical action compared to the control group. However, improvement of problem solving ability in the experiment group was limited in information research ability and confidence for problem solving.
